Historia
Frank Szatowski is shocked when his daughter, Maggie, calls him for the first time in three years. He was convinced that their estrangement would become permanent. He’s even more surprised when she invites him to her upcoming wedding in New Hampshire. Frank is ecstatic, and determined to finally make things right. He arrives to find that the wedding is at a private estate—very secluded, very luxurious, very much out of his league. It seems that Maggie failed to mention that she’s marrying Aidan Gardner, the son of a famous tech billionaire.

Amazing!
Revisado: 03-13-25
I loved all of the well developed characters, the twists and unpredictable storyline. I fell in love with the fathers’s character and felt for him throughout the story. I came to really dislike Maggie. Good suspense. Great book!

I loved the setting, twists, and storyline. It wasn’t as shocking as some of Freida’s books but I loved it just the same. Keep writing Freida!!!

Best book I’ve read in 2 years!
Revisado: 02-02-25
This IS the BEST book I’ve read or listened to in 2 years! (122 in 2024 for reference.) The main character’s voice was awesome! Reminded me of Liam Neeson’s voice so that is who I imagined as the main character! Without spoiling the book, the setting was fantastic. I love a secluded back woodsy feel as well as water elements. The accents of the female characters stuck with me. A fur baby part is always welcome! His occupation was perfect. The twists, suspense, and plot were so well developed. It was a page turner down to the last page, and what a wild ending!

MIl’s character
Revisado: 12-13-24
Good twists but too much love drama for my taste in a psych thriller. Couple’s relationship not believable. MIL’s character was portrayed well-sinister, cold, great narration.

Twisty
Revisado: 09-02-24
I have more than enjoyed every Frieda book. This wasn’t in my top 5 but still great story and gotcha twists even in the last 30 seconds of the story! I didn’t like the female voice narration as much as I usually do with Freida’s books. But all in all-another winner.

Freida can make anything twisty and suspenseful!
Revisado: 08-29-24
** Possible spoiler alert!
Saved this as my second to last Freida book because I couldn’t imagine how a whole book could be written about a short period of time in a psych ward. Boy was I wrong. Frieda did it again! She pulled me in, created great unpredictable twists, lots of suspense, great character development, and a great ending! As usual, the narrators that she choice ate perfectly for this book. I think that is one of the reasons I enjoy her books so much! Loved it. Sadly I only have one to read and then I have to wait for her to write more.

Good solid suspenseful mystery.
Revisado: 08-09-24
I loved the build up of the story and character development. The end was very twisty and I didn’t see that coming, so I loved that! I thought the performance was pretty good throughout most of the story until the last 1/4 of the book. The narration seemed overly dramatic and every character seemed to be hyper emotional.

The narration was amazing! The storyline was very engaging and so different from anything I’ve read, coming from a ghost! I loved it though. A page turner. Can’t wait to read more from this author!
