Wow that was very twisted.
Revisado: 01-24-25
I enjoyed this book a lot. At first I wasn't so sure about it. But as it kept going I was like oh crap wait a minute. I will say from the start I never liked Oliver for some reason. I don't want to give away anything really about these characters. But I sure didn't guess a few things. And everything was revealed as to why and how... It was kind of a shock, because I was thinking one thing but it was another.
All of these characters seemed to have some secret or another. Some secrets though are twisted and some were like yeah that's why.. I really do hope there is a book #2 because of how this kind of basically ended on a cliffhanger. I mean we can all make up our own little ending. I know what ending I would choose for Red, but not sure what the author would pick.

Living in a year around Christmas town has its drawbacks. The caroling, the decorations, the insanely cheery spirit, it never disappears. It's why I like to hibernate away in my cave - I mean housekeeping a healthy distance from the holly jolly spirits. And all was going according to plan until my nemesis, Storee Taylor, moved in next door to care for her Aunt Cindy. Without blinking, she turned my simple world into a real nightmare-before-Christmas, especially when she decided to enter the town Christmas Kringle contest - which she was determined to win.

Hilarious book.
Revisado: 01-21-25
Oh my freaking goodness, I just loved the narrator. The sarcasm and him being so funny.
And the mentioning of another town from her other books. That was great to hear about it.
Now I will admit I didn't like Storee Taylor at first. I thought whoa are you superficial or what woman. But as I got to know her character I just loved her. And Cole I really liked from the start even though he was a jerk and I could understand why. As for Max at first I was like oh cool he is funny and I love it. But then he really annoyed me, I was like come on stop with the way you are thinking. Just like Storee's sister. I liked her, but then she annoyed me as well. But I understood where she was coming from just like Max.
Now Aunt Cindy was so funny and dramatic it was great. Definitely a five stakes book from me.

I really enjoyed this book. the whole mystery and story surrounding the teacher's death was great. So many different parts to the same story. Everyone played a role around it and unsolving it whether a small role or not. It all came together in the end.
However I really wish there was a bonus seen to say what happens a little bit into their future. Because what happens after knowing who killed him or accidently killing him?? Does she tell anyone else or keep that secret forever?

Crazy ending.
Revisado: 09-28-24
Okay first I'm going to say I need a sequel to this book. No way did we get left with that ending. Seriously?? Come on now.
I really liked all the characters in this book. Even if some annoyed me at some point or another in the story. But I enjoyed the mystery of it all and the reveal was like wow. When Ivy, Cal and Mateo skip school for one reason or another. None of them could predict how it all would change their lives forever. Even if a couple of positive things came from the fall out of everyone's actions. Everyone had their reasons for why they skipped and why they did what they did. I think all three of the main characters definitely had the morally Grey area thing going on. I could see different reasons and such for their involvement in things. I'm glad things got sorted out for Ivy in more ways then one. And Cal I felt bad for because it just seemed like he was needing friends again really. And Mateo just seemed like he wanted real friends and to be able to let down his guard again. Ivy always trying to be perfect like her brother seemed to learn a few things about herself and her brother.
Please please make another book. At least one more to give us something. Even if it's something in passing on your website where you see the characters going and what happens after the fall out. Anything would be great.

Revisado: 09-17-24
This book had me guessing a lot. I kept thinking it was one person and then I thought another. And was wrong both times. So thank you for keeping me guessing. However there was some things left undone. Like how can they not make at least another one? That teacher said what he said to Luke. No way can we be left hanging. Always questions about that. And Oscar I feel was just a filler, but I wanted to learn more about him and his home life and why he acts the way he does towards females.
I liked Luke and I wanted him to help Pippa out for sure.
This one is another the teenagers solve the mystery books. And I like that. I think we need to start a petition to get another book or something. Even just something on a blog on where the author seen the characters heading.
This book definitely has me wanting to check out more books from the author.

Very enjoyable.
Revisado: 09-09-24
This book is was really good. I enjoyed getting to know some of these characters. Martha I felt really bad for because all her life she felt different from her family and the secrets that were kept from her for decades..
For most of the book it seemed people took advantage of Martha's kindness. That she would always take care of eveything and not say no or just be so passive about it. But when she gets that book with the stories. Things really do change for her and for the better. She starts to see things differently. She ends up having a best friend basically that she hadn't realized before. But someone who was just always there. And when she learns one thing she has so many more questions. And yet no one wants to tell her, I didn't like that very much. But I understand that is how it was built up. I didn't like Thomas not one bit, he just was always rude and mean no matter what. Basically telling his wife what to do and not to do stuff with her mother and taking toys away from the kids. And how he treated Martha. Now I did guess a few things before the end. You won't get an answer really as to why Thomas is the way he is, just that his father is the same with his mother. I wish we kinda got more as to how Betty even met that awful man. And also wish Betty would have left him. And that Martha would have stood up for herself more. Her sister was a bit awful, but I guess knowing a few secrets and keeping them for decades can make you bitter. But she took after her father Thomas for sure. Towards the end she seemed to have gotten better.
This was a quick listen.

This was pretty good. It sucks you right into this with all the different cases. And it was well performed by all of the cast. I got lost inside of this as if I was watching a movie or TV show.
That was wild at the end finding out everything with the clients and with Beth. Oh man I hope there is a #2 coming soon. I don't want to be left hanging with where they left us.
I was unsure of this book but it truly is a great listen and quick as well. So if you want something quick and mystery and some funny lines this will be the one for you.

wickedly good
Revisado: 08-27-24
This book was wickedly crazy. At first listening to this book I did get kind of confused with that chat and screen names. But after a few chapters in, I was good to go. This book does go back and fourth to a past time in October and then to a present time in July. With different characters. It isn't until maybe a little over halfway through that we find out why it's done that way and the how come.
They bring up a lot of games or is it games that young teens and young adults and adults I'm sure play. All for fun and scares.
First off I would never partake in any of that mess. Nope peace out. If there is some small tiny chance that it could be real or some crazy folks getting the wrong idea. Yeah that's going to be a nope.
But it is fun to read about these things. Although this book was not fun by any means. These characters keep you rooting for them to make it through the night. And also make you wonder is the midnight man for real? Even at the end you kind of think is he or isn't he? What did they really see or not see?
The rules of the Midnight game are well thought out and I like that. But these teens seemed to have been playing for some crazy reasons. I like almost all of the characters. I don't want to say which are my faves. Because I feel it might spoil the book in some way. This was my first book by this author. I will definitely be checking out another from this author.

Fantastic
Revisado: 08-25-24
This was a great and short listen. I wish it went a little bit longer though. But overall it was such a joy to get into the lives of these characters again. The story is just so wonderful. I was getting a little but nervous though for a hot minute. But everything worked out well. I hope the next book is about Violet though, she added a lot to the first book. But I get it, this one was more about the sisters and the never ending wedding dates. Ha ha if you read or listened to this then you know what I mean. I laughed a lot during this listen and I also was like I said getting nervous a bit.
Looking forward to the next adventure with these group of characters.
Also forgot to mention I loved how Emily Dickinson was mentioned in this book.

Crazy
Revisado: 06-30-24
This book was some twisted crazy stuff. The twist and reveal at the end. Like wtaf. I'm just over here like huh? Really?
I mean I was guessing on one reveal and I was kinda of close but no it wasn't right.
These girls and what they went through and seen and had done.
It actually had a few reveals that I was not expecting. I figured the one in the woods, but I was thinking so and so did all that.
Never imagined all the lies and cover ups that people did in that small town. And to let it go on for so long.
Naomi comes back into town because Liv wants to talk with her and needs to see her, what they learn along with Cassidy changes everything in an instant.
About the attack on Naomi and whom they put away for attacking her. Problem is Naomi still doesn't remember everything from that day. And what she learns about that summer and that day shocks you. All that happened to this woman when she was 11 and then later its like wtf.
You never can really truly know someone I suppose or the adults in that small town.
