The scientific gives different stories that examplify how to do progress in life as a professional.

For example, you need to make a spaceshuttle experiment exactly how it would be done in actual space. so this should be generalized for life itself.

He gives strategies to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX by questioning your assumptions, what he calls Instead of relying on assumptions, analogies, or conventional wisdom, first principles thinking challenges you to question everything and rebuild your understanding from scratch.

He also talks about risks and stages of the risk as you are in an ongoing operation, so when you lunch into space, you can't go back, and withdrawal your investment... so you need to keep moving forward and explore and be curious, since you are entering a dark room, that you don't know exactly what it is there.

Embrace Curiosity Curiosity is the foundation for breakthrough thinking. Rocket scientists constantly challenge established norms and ask “why?” or “what if?” This means questioning assumptions and exploring possibilities that others may overlook.

Nothing useful here, only saying you to just focus on a time to do your stuff.
This book is a total waste of money, if I bought it with credit I would return it, I bought it for cheap but it still not worth it since it is completely useless.

I want my time I read it back. Horrible.

The book provides many articles that seem to be legitimate so far.

I was interested in the risk area: it is really good since it talks about failure from many directions and it wants you to normalize failing since only then you will let yourself to take risks and do stuff and accept the possibility of failure and loss.

They say you have cognitive bias that the failure seems much more worse than it is actually is, and also discuss the risk of not taking action, which is connected to the book of "Against the gods" from hong kong, which says that people who are risks takers are more afraid to lose what they should gain than experience the failure or loss of the thing being risked.

It is also talks about habits that if you have habits that are good for you , you don't feel EGO depletion, like in the book of mini habits.

This book really good one since it is based on science and also it discusses the subject of WILL POWER and its exhaustion in decision making process, so the brain wants to automate things, and it is automating things based on what you DO and not based on what you intend to do.

He gives you the research of brain damage patience one has EGO damage and the other has Subconscious damage.
When the EGO is damaged you have remarkable capability to repeat anything to perfection (habit).
When the subconcios is damaged you don't have the ability to repeat anything (no habit).
The purpose of habit is to preserve your brain thinking energy, so you don't need to decide and you just act automatically, so your brain is energy efficient.

So he says if you do very small stuff repeatedly you will get the habit.

He also said that the reason you don't do something is because you have resistance to it (EGO), so if you do very small things, the EGO does not care, and this way you expand your comfort zone little by little, because you do only one step of of comfort, but many times, so the new area is the new comfort and that's it. If you take many steps away from your comfort zone, you need to use WILL POWER and this is limited, as he says EGO DEPLETION.

Worth the money I think, he describes also that motivation is worthless, and I know this from experience and other scientific resources. Think about it, you go to work you maybe not like, and you have zero motivation to go there, but you still get yourself to do it... You don't need motivation to do stuff...

It gives a good explanation of strategy.

I like most that it gives many quotes from the book "On war" by Clauswitze.

You need to dissect from this big book , the exact formula on what instructions you give to your employees, so they function well.

It is exemplify the concept that you need to tell the person what you want him to do, but also state why you want him to do it (what is the intent behind it) and he needs to figure out the HOW given the constrains he have.

I exemplify for myself, lets say you say an employee to create Instagram page with 100K followers (this is the what), if you don't tell him the why (the intent) he can do it in ways that are counter productive to the intent, he can upload everyday half naked pictures of bikini model, then he get 100K followers, but your initial intent was to sell an online course, so now all those followers are not relevant to buying the course. This is because you did not tell him the WHY (the intent).

This skill the book calls as to COMMAND, not everyone knows how to do it properly so the soldier understand exactly what the commander wants him to do.

After he knows why you need 100K followers, now he is more aligned with the intent and he is more likely to do what you actually wanted (how you have behaved if it were you). So he will upload content related to the course in an intent for you to sell a course once he reaches to 100K followers.

A strategy is you knowing what you want to achieve, and you see what is the environmental opportunities and what are your advantage capabilities. This is how you intent to compete.

He also talk about FRICTION. This means that imagining things work out perfectly is false, and making everything work together is not as easy because people don't completely understands what you want. The same applies to the enemy, so you probably overestimate their power and ability because you imagine it in your mind as happening perfectly for them, this is unrealistic bias.

Also he gives the difference between giving a COMMAND and LEADING, which is a skill that means issuing the RIGHT orders that answering the WHAT needs to be done, by WHO, and WHY (intent) for doing it, leaving the HOW, for the person who gets the command.

THIS SKILL (commanding) IS VALUABLE and very important and is different from LEADING.
LEADING is more psychological ego boost and motivation, for doing the action, like saying follow me to fight those evil monsters, while COMMANDING is telling them, "You (WHO) need to destroy that bridge(WHAT), so the enemy cant pass and think their allies did it (INTENT+WHY)"

At first, you don't understand what you are listening to, but keep going until the end.

It gives you a set of principles on how to view events in life in different patterns and dissect them so you can manipulate them to your advantage.

This is USEFUL and PRACTICAL.

It gives many good advice.

You need to read and re-read it.

I expected much more from it, He discussed in half hour-45 min about the force in general which is nice to hear, but then he gave nutritious advice which is not correct, and then he losses value for me unfortunately.

So for me the Value in this book is in the first 45 min, the rest was not okay for me.

THE ONLY THING I TAKE FROM THIS BOOK...

Is the metaphor that when you grow psychologically it is like crossing a river... and you can't get to the next level, the other side... without getting wet...

getting wet symbolizes some form of struggle.

another metaphor was: If you are in a dark cave, and someone turns on the light, you don't care what the light is called as long as you can see. So don't try to define everything. Just use the light to SEE.

Chapter 1 and 2 and 3 are worth a read, yes.

There is a metaphor of a big cloud which if it want to enter into a tin can, it needs to speed itself, and by doing so, the force grows. So if you do early morning meditation, you concentrate on the positive, so your force grows, and thus people will get attracted to you and give you projects to accomplish.

The reviews are correct, the rules he gives are very fundamental and useful, easy read, and to re-read x100

I liked the Law of attraction theme also which is very good, he is on the correct path of manifestation,
he explains you in the good theory how to manifest your abundance.

I liked how he said that your wealth already exists in a parallel universe and you just need to manifest it so it will move and transfer to our 3D material world.

He gives very fundamental rules of business which I find USEFUL.

Worth the money, I put it on favorites.

The book gives a perspective of Executive management of a cutthroat performance.

It is worth a second read, it emphasize how your should reward good performance and punish/eliminate bad performance.

It discuss the subject of the execution GAP, between what you want to achieve and what you can to achieve given your company and team capabilities.

It gives guidelines of how to make your team EXECUTE organizational behavior by reward and punishment. USEFUL.

It discusses strategy in a Wall Street thinking like Anton... of cause and effect in the value chain, so it is useful.

It discusses operations but not much, or maybe I need to read it again, but could not get much from it about operations.
He said that you should not need to make your plan fit your budget; since then, you will make a plan that is not workable within your budget and fail.

The main subject of this book, is about the management of people in the organization by rewarding good performance and punishing bad performance of employees. So the organizational culture knows that only execution promotes you and get rewarded.

It also gives a rule of thumb how to manage people so they get things done, by telling them what you want to get done, and scheduling a follow-through meeting to discuss how it got done, and if not, then why? and how to correct it fast?

Also, the people needs to understand that the mission is mandatory and failing it or not delivering results will have bad consequences for them, only this will make they outperform, and make them loyal to the mission.

Worth a second read and summarizing the key management and strategic points.

This strengthens the notion of "control" in projects, and a punishment and reward (consequences) of performance.

The best companies/employees are the ones who can execute well and fast.

Its not enough to tell an employee to shoot a target and forget about it. You must make it a point that his target will check if he hit the mark or not, and it has good and bad consequences. Only this will drive his behavior toward execution.
