Nothing happens during the first 3/4 of the book. This would have made an ok short story. You also didn't learn anything during that first 6 hours you couldn't pick up at the end. sorry.

Good as a stand alone.

There were a few slower parts, but not enough to keep me away. I think there's two more after this one, I won't be purchasing. I feel the story ended just right. I would recommend the book, but also to hold off on purchasing the whole series in case you're like me and enjoy it as a stand alone.

I was suddenly confused on what happened and what was going on. I felt as if a chapter was left out. Eventually it was briefly explained, however there was a definite empty zone that was never filled.

Give the narrator a chance

The story is intriguing the way it's written. The narrator sounds new. Not a bad voice and does good character changes. The under editing of over exaggerated pauses and breaks in the sentences and paragraphs is distracting. It was difficult to decide what speed was best to listen at because of this.
Overall a good read. I'll pick up the next one.

Story had potential.

I couldn't get past the female vocals. She would have ... maybe? been okay in a non romance. She sounded like she was early highschool and had a "whining" sexual tone. I had to stop and couldn't finish. 9 hours left to go, I can't continue. Probably would have been good to read on my own in print. Sorry.

The beginning of the book was informative and promising. As lectures went on, a ton of information was repeated. Although I listened to the whole book, I stopped listening intently at some point. Could have been half as long.
