for new people starting the genre it's not the best. the protagonist is handfed everything and the underlying struggle is lackluster. the reactions of the characters are way to over the top. One character rolled around on the floor in laughter for "30 minutes" before they could manage to collect themselves. While trying to be original many of the titles just become wordy and hard to listen to over and over. it's just ok if you need a filler between your favorite author.

poorly written DND campaign

there is little to no character development. the magic/leveling/system makes no sense. at every turn the main character is handed everything he needs to overcome every situation. the last chapter was a complete letdown.

This is one of the weakest LitRPGs I have read. There is literally no struggle for the main character to do anything. All of the character relationships and development is shallow. You can almost predict everything that's going to happen.

The main character has all of his problems solved by happenstance and no real effort of his own. Also the way the author pronounces words, "Jaguar" for example has me grinding my teeth. I do not recommend this series.

fun characters that face a decent challenge and are given obvious solutions just to progress the plotline. I would really be interested in seeing what happens next to these characters.

weak all around

Hello, I really dislike leaving bad reviews but this was difficult to listen to and I could not make it to the end. I have completed over 400 titles and have over 12 months of listening time. This is unfortunately a poorly done magic system that feels more like a bad description of a mediocre video game than something original. I struggled to listen to the author's bad impression of a Russian accent and struggled more with his awkward pacing and very weird enunciation. I gave it a good 4 hours of listening before I had to pull the plug. If this is your first LitRPG novel please keep an open mind to the genre and try another novel.

the novel was hard to get through. magic system is not flushed out. no revolution of the characters. the entire story takes place in a week, so everything feels rushed. send like the author read a decent dungeon core book and wanted to check the boxes as fast as possible to justify sex scenes, and lackluster dialogue.

OP protagonist dominates world with no struggle

I made it through to then end but it was with more scoffs than I anticipated. the protagonist is broken and does whatever he wants whenever he wants. there is zero real struggle or danger in the entire novel. at some points he is conquering 10,000 enemies without breaking a sweat. the book did not do a good job defining the magical system, and the characters were 2 dimensional at best. the use of normal colloquialisms as sage advice was were I broke.

amazing story with excellent character development. doesn't lose itself in the LitRPG genre. strongly recommend the entire series.

alot of audio issues

I can appreciate using effects to create a unique voice for every character, but when you do that you need to make sure that the effect is there everytime that character speaks. this book really needs an audio editor to go back through and fix stuff.
