Nuff Said - what a great read
Revisado: 04-22-24
Tyrus has the ability to tackle today's issues while writing about moments in his life that brought him to his beliefs , thoughts and his ability to take advantage of opportunities! The story of the police was both riveting , disturbing and eye opening and yet he has been able to see beyond that 1 bad officer with the unexpected kindness from another - this book is inspiring! Thank you for a good read! Also, thank you for narrating your own story, hearing your voice telling the stories made it feel like we were having a chat!

Historia
In Sweden there is a kind of decluttering called döstädning, dö meaning "death" and städning meaning "cleaning." This surprising and invigorating process of clearing out unnecessary belongings can be undertaken at any age or life stage but should be done sooner rather than later, before others have to do it for you. In The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning, artist Margareta Magnusson, with Scandinavian humor and wisdom, instructs listeners to embrace minimalism.

A generation ago it was understood that men and women were unique, yet interdependent, and designed by God to be that way. Today, the woke crowd wants you to believe masculinity is “toxic.” In his first book, Lawrence embarks on a thorough examination of who is doing the attacking and why. Informed by his travels across the country for Fox News, Lawrence explains how confused progressives are about manhood—and how powerful the need is to set the record straight.

Surprizingly an intuitive and heartfelt message
Revisado: 01-14-24
I have loved Lawrence's stories and reporting on Fox News so I bought the audible tosupport him, however, I started listening and was amazed at the introspective lessons he shared which also caused my own realizations to emerge on how I raised my son and what I got right and where I could have done better. I will get the book to share with my son-in-law who just became a father to his second child, a boy! I also want my daughter (Mom) to listen to this as well. Finally, my son will receive a copy of this book, as he is newly engaged and could use a reminder to continue to be a good man!

Historia
Independent filmmaker Mary Haverstick thought she’d stumbled onto the project of a lifetime—a biopic of aviation pioneer Jerrie Cobb, the key figure in a group of extraordinary women who in 1960 passed the same tests as the legendary male astronauts of the Mercury 7 but never went to space. Just as casting was set to begin, Haverstick received a mysterious warning from a government agent; soon she began to suspect that there was more to Jerrie’s story than what met the eye. As she dug deeper, she discovered that Jerrie’s life shadowed that of a mysterious CIA agent named June Cobb.

Love the cadence of the story, only issue was that there are several sections of the book that references pictures or footnotes than can be found in the hard copy books that are not available with the audio book but loved the storyline and the conspiracy undertones!

Historia
In You Can’t Joke About That, Kat Timpf shows why much of the way we talk about sensitive subjects is wrong. We’ve created all the wrong rules. We push ourselves into unnecessary conflicts when we should feel like we’re all in this together. When someone says “you can’t joke about that,” what they really mean is “this is a subject that makes people sad or angry.”

Funny
Revisado: 07-09-23
I was not a huge fan of Kat's but her humor is funny and I enjoyed her story and how she has handled and found humor over many events in her life. I have also found humor to get me through the tough times so this book felt like home! Well done!

Historia
For many people, military service isn’t simply a job. It’s a ticket out of a lonely society and into a family of enduring bonds. In over a decade of working with veterans, Johnny Joey Jones has discovered the power of battle-forged friendships. Suffering a life-changing injury while deployed in Afghanistan, he faced a daunting recovery. But coming home would have been much harder without the support of his brothers and sisters in arms. In Unbroken Bonds of Battle, Joey tells the stories of those very warriors, who for years have supported and inspired him on the battlefield and off.

Truly a thoughtful story that wraps you in love an
Revisado: 07-09-23
Loved this book And I have to admit , I bought it because it was Joey's story but from the beginning, starting with his fathers saying til the conclusion, every story was heartfelt and gripping, hearing how bonds were formed and love & support are there. The stories although sad were also filled with humor, honesty and trials, it was not sad and I did not shed a tear until the conclusion when challenged to find and keep your own brothers (or in my case sister's) in blood ,which I have with my Nurse friends. This book touched me in many ways and I did laugh and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
