I couldn’t get past the narrator
Revisado: 07-17-23
I have loved all of Sarah’s books, but I just couldn’t get past the narrator for this one. The main character had a normal voice at a normal speed, but all the other characters were weird sounding and very slow. And they all sounded the same. I couldn’t tell the difference between any of the other characters. I tried to increase the reading speed, but then the main character was too fast. I gave up listening to this book. It was the last book I hadn’t had a chance to listen to. I was sad. I have the story a three star rating only because I didn’t listen to it. I gave all her other books 5 stars.

This book was a lesson to me on how easy it can be to misunderstand our loved ones. It taught me that communication and forgiveness are so important in relationships, and to never give up on those you live!

Good, but…
Revisado: 08-02-22
Good! The story kept me on my toes. I was feeling stressed out for the characters! There were times I felt the author dragged a scene on too long. A couple times I wish I could’ve skipped to the back of the book to see if it was worth finishing, but because it was audio I just hung in there. I gave it 4 stars because one of the characters story plot (I’ll let you decide) seemed a little unrealistic with her love interest. Overall good book, was glad I had read it.

I’m a picky reader, but this book did not disappoint! I love how the women’s stores all weave together the history of their time. But mostly I loved the message of Gods loving grace throughout all generations, no matter what mistakes we make. He is always there.

Revisado: 07-05-22
I had long ago given up on Christian fiction being interesting, but this book was SO GOOD! Judith West did an excellent job narrating. I loved the time the book was set in, and Morris did an excellent job showing the story, not just telling it. I was never bored and that’s saying something as I am a very picky avid reader.

Wonderful story-terrible narration
Revisado: 05-23-22
Narrator over pronounced consonants. I read the other reviews and hoped they were exaggerating, but they were right. The narrator didn’t read in a way befitting the times the book was set in. At times it had a robotic sound, with emphasis being put in unusual places. Kinda took away from the story, although the story itself was well written.
