I got the second book by Lisa Lace because I did enjoy the first one in the series. I know this is fantasy and make believe, that’s why I love Syfy romance. However I couldn’t even make it past the first few chapters of this book. Lissette made me want to reach through the pages and just backhand some sense into her. It was utterly ridiculous I don’t know a single woman who would willingly and without putting up some sort of protective fight allow several different men to grope at her several different times within the first couple chapters and not understand why it was happening to her. I’m going to skip to the third book in the series and hope that it is better than the second one there are about 16 books in the series and I was hoping they would be more like the first book but if they turned out to be more like the second book I won’t waste my time on any of them

The story was good but...

I liked the story very much, I love Molly Harper books but having the two different narrator’s doing two different voices for the same character kind of threw me off and it wasn’t until halfway through the book that I got used to hearing the same main characters done by two different people.

First, I don't know if it was the download or what but I had to change playing speeds with each narrative. The female at .75 and male at 1.0 once I did this the narration was great. Otherwise the female sounded rushed or the male sounded slow idk why. Ok now to the book.

Now please people remember this is a dark romance and fiction. There is some low level violence against our h by our H in the beginning before feelings get thrown in. If it's not your thing then I would move on to another book. Me I like escaping into all sorts of stories.

Our H Peter is dead inside has been for years and is on a personal mission to even a score. That is where he comes across our h. She was only supposed to be collateral damage but ended up being something much much more.

I am on pins and needles for the second book.

Wish it had a better narrator

I don't know I haven't even finished the book. I couldn't suffer through the narrator Nikola is Russian right? But narrator is giving him the most horrible French accent. I think I'd like the book better if I just read it.

Love this series

Though Ian McKenzie will always be my favorite out of all the brothers I did enjoy Hart's story. We see that behind all the bluster stern looks harsh words that Hart has a soft side. We see all the turmoil that he went through to protect all that he loved. At the very very end of the book they try to explain Harts darker likes and wants and I think that they did so in a very gentle way according to the fact that this is a period book. Though for some of us who like a lot of steam and naughtiness perhaps a little bit more would've been wanted.

I am so in love with Mc Cabe men. I don't I laughed or teared up more with an audio. I will definitely get the third book to see how it fairs with the youngest brother.

Third book third narrator a little disappointed

I really like these books. The story is great, angsty. I love an alpha male but it's the third narrator and that just throws me off. The whole point of audio to me is having the narrator bring the story to life. And I like getting used to my H & h voices or sounds. And it drives me nutz when there are different narrators because they each read differently and put different inflections on words. I would much rather read the trilogy then listen to 3 different people read the 3 separate books.

Good continuation

I really like how the story is progressing. I like the plot twists. I don't however like this narrator they changed it from the first and she just didn't seem to express in my opinion what the characters were saying correctly. For example the words would be having the characters talking reluctantly yet her voice was almost excited sounding. I want to see who this mysterious K is so I'll get third book but I really hope they changed the narrator

My favorite narrator

I just love T.Gilbert. She really brings stories to life. I enjoyed the story very much. But and I hate to say it but it almost has a twilight feel to it only a lot steamier. Ethan is drawn to Sara he doesn't know why can't stay away. Has to have her be with her. You get where I'm going. But it was still an enjoyable story and tavia really makes awesome to listen to.

Great Continuation

I was definitely not expecting these twists and turns that the author threw at us wow I was floored. It has me hooked as to what will happen. Frost's possessiveness comes out more in this book which I love. I knew he was an closet Alpha in the first book. Glad to see he is no longer hiding it.
