The narration is great, plot line works... should be a great series But... the romance is old... the female lead when is is without the males in the book becomes needy...I made it through book 1 and 2...barely ( I just half listened). I think I will go and read a zombie apocalypse series to get the sugar out of my ears...

Okay, I have a problem with the whole series. The main character is supposed to be a strong female protagonist but really has to be saved by Everyone else the entire series..... Seriously, I was talking out loud in certain sections asking questions like... Are you kidding me. The rest of the story is solid but main character base not believable.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book is a little slow to start but makes up for it by the third chapter. The plot is so different you will not mind the slow start.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sloan is my favorite, the unhappy to be the evil step-sister. I admit I have a soft spot for the potential evil characters.
What about Mary Robinette Kowal’s performance did you like?
A little slow but great inflection.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I paid attention and if I missed something I went back.

What did you love best about First Grave on the Right?
I really loved the dialogue between the character's. It was never boring!
Who was your favorite character and why?
The main character is too funny! Charlie's dealing with her stepmother is quite unforgetable.

You can tell that Lorelei likes the characters in this book, it comes across in her telling.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes, had to listen during the commute to work, at lunch, while making dinner and made me lose sleep, it is laugh out loud in the car funny!
