Very unbelievable
Revisado: 12-13-23
I found this book by Dolores cannon and I was excited but couldn't even get halfway through the book, it started good enough but when she says that leprechauns were real I just had to stop....pixies and all that..... Sorry but I've lost all respect for someone who is saying all that is true...I won't be listening to anymore of her fantasy tales as I prefer Tolkien.

Historia
In the cold morning of June 6, 1944, thousands of German soldiers were in position from Port en Bessin eastward past Colleville on the Normandy coast, aware that a massive invasion force was heading straight for them, although according to Allied Intelligence, they shouldn't have been there. The presence of 352 Division meant that the number of defenders was literally double the number expected - and on the best fortified of all the invasion beaches. What makes this account of the bloody struggle unique is that it is told from the German standpoint, using firsthand testimony....

Rubbish, not what it says on the tin, misleading.
Revisado: 05-12-22
The title says "through German eyes" but I stopped listening maybe 3/4 chapters in too much stuff about the Americans and that's not what I bought the book to listen about, a little misleading and not very interesting, I exchanged it for something different don't bother if you want to listen to the German view because you won't hear it here.

Historia
To his neighbors, Wayne Nance, a furniture mover from Missoula, Montana, appeared to be an affable, considerate, and trustworthy guy. No one knew that Nance was the "Missoula Mauler," a psychopath responsible for a series of sadistic sex slayings that rocked the idyllic town between 1974 and 1986. Nance's only requirement for murder was accessibility - a preacher's wife, a teenage runaway, a female acquaintance, a married couple. Putting on a friendly façade, he could easily gain his victims' trust. Then, one September night, thirty-year-old Nance pushed his luck.

Great book, really enjoyed it but the narrator is a bit hard to get used to sounds like a true crime TV show but once you get used to it it's a great book.

Historia
The first edition of Greentown helped reopen one of America's most shameful unsolved murder cases, the savage slaying of 15-year-old Martha Moxley in an exclusive enclave of Greenwich, Connecticut, the night before Halloween 1975. Soon after Martha's body was discovered, attention focused on members of the Skakel family, who lived across the street from the Moxleys. Ethel Skakel and Robert Kennedy had married in Greenwich, and the two families were close.

Absolutely loved it....
Revisado: 02-10-22
I knew nothing about Martha moxley or this case but I was hooked, the story, the narrative excellent had it finished in just over two days, I like to listen to these story's when I'm going on long long drives they keep you company and this one really did, you need the story to take you to the time and place and if it does you know you have a winner..... This is a winner.

Historia
Daniel Martin has never forgotten his childhood encounters with Frank Watkins, the man who built his family a summer home out of cardboard and plywood. Frank's gaze was oddly confusing, as if he was attempting to discern the proper way to behave because he didn't know how to respond in a human manner. Since Frank obviously wasn't an alien, young Daniel thought maybe the man was crazy. In the end, Daniel would learn the terrifying truth about Frank Watkins. And as an adult, Daniel is about to discover there are more of them out there.

Had so much potential....... But no..
Revisado: 10-20-21
I liked the start with Frank and his strange ways but in the end it just got silly and unbelievable, story just seems to skip from one story to another and it seems to forget Frank then realises and just slots him back into the story, poor, a house were you lose time and 10 minutes is 6 days in real time, should have been a serial killer not some childhood monster story, had potential but in my eyes just a long drawn out mess, which wasted my time..... And yes, there's no need for the sex, I think even Mr little got a little bored and his mind started to wonder..... Mine did.

Very poor
Revisado: 07-25-21
Don't waste your money and time on this one, no real information on the hiter youth and like some of the other readers said it's more of a German bashing book with lazy writing and no information at all.
The title is so misleading it should be classed as false advertising.

Historia
"Marley was dead to begin with...." These chillingly familiar words begin the classic Christmas tale of remorse and redemption in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Now R. William Bennett rewinds the story and focuses the spotlight on Scrooge’s miserly business partner, Jacob T. Marley, who was allowed to return as a ghost to warn Scrooge away from his ill-fated path. Why was Marley allowed to return? And why hadn’t he been given the same chance as Ebenezer Scrooge? Or had he?

Within days of the D-Day landings, the 'Das Reich' 2nd SS Panzer Division marched north through France to reinforce the front-line defenders of Hitler's Fortress Europe. Veterans of the bloodiest fighting of the Russian Front, 15,000 men with their tanks and artillery, they were hounded for every mile of their march by saboteurs of the Resistance and agents of the Allied Special Forces. Along their route they took reprisals so savage they will live forever in the chronicles of the most appalling atrocities of war.
