Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

A fun space romp.

It was a lot of fun. Kind of reminded me of a mix of star trek, mass effect and a number of other space TV shows and games. Love R. C. Bray, who is now one of my favourites. Only minor criticism is with the flow of the story. Just seems a little disjointed at times.

I love NPH, but....

I kept getting distracted by the "choose your own adventure"-ness of it. It just doesn't work in audio format. I would much rather just hear about NPH.

What disappointed you about Vitalis Omnibus?
Primarily the choice of James Killavey to narrate. It was so bad I don't think I can finish listening.
Would you be willing to try another book from Jason Halstead? Why or why not?
The story itself wasn't so bad, what I could bare to listen to. I might try him with either another narrator or text only.
What didn’t you like about James Killavey’s performance?
It honestly sounded like a computerised voice. Completely monotone, no emotion, no difference between characters (besides a slightly higher pitch for female characters), taking breaths in the wrong place and the sound of the licking of lips made it pretty much impossible to listen to. It's like a brick wall preventing you from getting in to the story.
