Historia
Pickleball has lately become all the rage in America. Indeed, all across the globe. Once a sport for older racket sports enthusiasts who needed a slower version of their favorite sport, now youngsters are picking up the game, playing in pro tournaments, and making a good living from pickleball. And with the growing popularity of pickleball has come the need for lessons and clinics to teach the mechanics of the sport. I used to teach tennis, but when I found pickleball about five years ago, I put away my tennis rackets and have used a pickleball paddle ever since.

Not a complete audiobook
Revisado: 07-06-23
I rarely leave reviews of the audiobooks I've listened to but this one is different. I thought is was going to be the pickleball version of the Inner Game of Tennis and it starts out that way. But its only 17 minutes long. And it abruptly stops, as if in mid-thought. Not worth an Audible credit nor the discounted price. Keep playing pickleball and practicing the mind game of sport, just look somewhere else for an audiobook on the subject.

Historia
Many famed music producers are known for a particular sound that has its day. Rick Rubin is known for something else: creating a space where artists of all different genres and traditions can home in on who they really are and what they really offer. He has made a practice of helping people transcend their self-imposed expectations in order to reconnect with a state of innocence from which the surprising becomes inevitable. Over the years, he has learned that being an artist isn’t about your specific output, it’s about your relationship to the world.

An Immediate Classic
Revisado: 02-01-23
I purchased the audiobook and immediately picked up a printed copy too. This is one of those books I will revisit many times for its wisdom and practical knowledge. And so glad the author also narrates the audio. His voice and cadence fits the text perfectly.

Historia
The Brewer's Tale is a beer-filled journey into the past: the story of brewers gone by and one brave writer's quest to bring them - and their ancient, forgotten beers - back to life, one taste at a time. This is the story of the world according to beer, a toast to flavors born of necessity and place - in Belgian monasteries, rundown farmhouses, and the basement nanobrewery next door. So pull up a barstool and raise a glass to 5,000 years of fermented magic.

Good Beer Stories
Revisado: 07-02-15
I enjoyed following the author from one brewery to the next. I feel like I'm tagging along on vacation with him. I've noticed this new genre or writing style among beer writers. The audiobook voice was soothing but often mispronounced some of the beer words. Recommended reading to learn more about beers history and current situation.
