I really like this author and read the reviews saying there was too much graphic sex in this book so I thought I’d listen a bit to see what people meant. All I can say to them is chill out. This was a middle of the road Harlequin-type romance with sex involved. Anyone looking for sexless romances should look for ‘clean’ regencies or some Young Adult. That said, this seems like an early writing example from the author without the depth of her other works. However, if you like hot alpha male cowboys fill yer boots!

Blown away by this book!

I wasn't sure I would be able to listen to this poignant story of two very different sisters and love and loss but it was an amazing journey. The writing, the characters, the love and the humour spoke to me and I really can't say enough about how beautiful a story it is. The narrators are amazing. Perfectly cast with a depth of acting and sensitivity that brought Kate and Ainslie close to my heart. Bravo! I will listen to you both again I hope. I don't usually have or take the time to write a review but this was special! Thanks to you both and Kristan for her wonderful writing.

Lovely muddled male lead

I thoroughly enjoyed the hamhandedness of the main male character although like most romances of this nature, some actions seem a touch contrived to drive the plot. I liked that love crosses class lines and that older couples have their romantic relationships. I very much enjoy this author and will read many more of her books. The voice of the reader had some excellent sultry huskiness for the Edward character ( I believe) but used a less subtle voice for others. I became used to his delivery but wished he had used the nicer parts of his voice more often. That said I would definitely recommend this book and author to romance readers.
