We begin reading about the insane depths this game’s leveling system will take us to. We didn’t talk to everyone twice, so we explore around and get shut down at every turn. Will this be what the whole game will be like? Kinda, but not exactly. T-shirts and mugs: http://etsy.com/shop/nockatEmail: NOCKATpodcast@gmail.com@NOCKATpodcastpatreon.com/nockat Hosted on Acast. Well Done
Revisado: 01-08-24
This podcast is a fun, witty walk down the Final Fantasy memory lane. The editing is very good too, very snappy dialog to go along with a humorous take on some of the most beloved games in videogame history.
Well done guys, keep up the good work.

Historia
The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin' mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else's problem. Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem... Or not.

Fun ride. Trust the awesomeness
Revisado: 12-18-23
I had concerns that a new entry in this series would be stale since the "threat" was gone. Craig has done it again. Very fun entry and continues with the interesting twists. Cant wait for the next one.

Historia
The philosopher asks: "Faced with the mutually exclusive choice between moral principle and the survival of your family, which is the correct path?" Philosophers love to pose such questions, and in the day-to-day struggle, such thinkers rarely attain to a level of relevance rivaling that of the simple hunger pang. Their careful considerations dissipate under the leveled gun. We do not feel their disapproving gaze when The Others draw near. When the world sends doom, the survivors do not hesitate. The survivors do what is necessary.

They are all awful
Revisado: 12-17-23
Spoiler review
I don't know if it is good writing or bad writing but by the end I was actually rooting for the "bad" guys. They were all awful people, both sides, but at least Clay was interesting and seemed to try to do the right thing, given the circumstances. I don't think I'm going to continue the series. I'm with Gibbs, time to move on.

Historia
The Yellowstone super-eruption has put an end to modern civilization. As cities and countries continue to fall, the colony of Rivendell in the alternate Earth known as Outland looks more and more like the only real hope for humanity. But life in Rivendell isn’t getting any simpler, either. Bill and Kevin continue to discover new worlds; the population continues to rise; winter is approaching; and everyone has their own opinion about how things should be run.

Way too political
Revisado: 11-17-23
I've read other reviews of this book and the general concensus is it is too political. I second this. I stopped listening halfway through a returned it. At one point someone is causing trouble back in camp and my first thought was "sigh, who is it this time the Christians or conservatives?". It was the Christians. We get it Dennis you hate Christians and conservative minded people. Give it a rest already. I'm tired of politics in general and read books to escape the real world. Kind of over this author now and it is a shame. Been a reader since We Are Legion first came out.

Historia
Killing the sadistic warlord known as the Dog Tongue took everything Gus Berry had, including the woman he loved. Now, all he wants is to get away from the bloody scene of their final showdown. But when he heads west in a stolen truck, a brutal snowstorm forces him to turn back—and seek refuge in the Dog Tongue’s former headquarters. Though it’s littered with human carnage, the abandoned luxury hotel has a lot to offer a guy like Gus. But in addition to soft beds and working toilets, he encounters still-lurking dangers both living and undead.

Keith is a great writer and this is a great story. His worlds are brutal and beautiful. two sides to the same coin. I look forward to more adventures with Gus, but if this was the end, it was a good one.

I really enjoyed this volume of the history of video games. The author did a good job keeping me entertained while sharing information I've never known about companies like Sega, Nintendo and Sony. The narrator also does a great job. Looking forward to the 3rd book.

Historia
Braving Britannia is an oral history of the groundbreaking PC video game, Ultima Online, which launched in 1997 and still operates today. The audiobook features interviews with players as they share how the game affected their lives. In a fantasy world of limitless potential, the only thing players seem to enjoy more than playing the game is talking about it, and yet, the true stories behind the avatars have largely gone unpublished for the past 20 years. Until now.

Memories
Revisado: 09-15-21
This entire book was a stroll down memory lane. I played UO right after high school in 97 and stopped around 2000. No game has since had the sense of excitement, danger, and wonder that UO would give a player. I wish someone would buy the rights and create an updated version. Thank you for the memories you brought back, author. Well done.

Historia
The sequel to the number one Audible Best Seller Earthcore, Mount Fitz Roy continues the tale of Patrick O’Doyle and Bertha Lybrand, who were part of the horror show that occurred far below the mountains of Utah. They learn that the "mother of all motherlodes” discovered there was not unique, that there is another deposit similar to it three miles beneath the towering peak of Cerro Chaltén on the disputed border between Chile and Argentina. O'Doyle, a middle-aged former member of a disgraced black-ops unit, gets his aging team back together to go after this fortune.

Superb
Revisado: 01-11-21
Few writers can engross a reader the way Sigler does. From beginning to end this audiobook catches the readers attention and never lets go. I was worried this would be a simple rehash of the previous book but my fears were put to rest. Plenty of twists and turns set itself apart from Earthcore. Also, as always, Ray Porter did an excellent job in narration. Highly recommended.

Few writers can instill a sense of emotion in their readers quite like Brandon Sanderson. This book does have its slow moments but it becomes clear the moments are all building up to something greater. I quite recommend this book and this series.
