Historia
Hundreds of years after a plague-induced apocalypse collapsed civilization back to iron and horsepower, the Hyllises have a genetic tendency to inherit “talents”. Eva Hyllis and her ancestors became healers because their talents let them feel inside their patients. This helped them diagnose the underlying causes of many illnesses. Eva’s children Tarc and Daussie have inherited telekinetic and teleportation talents.

This book is wonderful. I only wish Christopher lane. Read the last two books, but I'll have to give that narrator a chance at least.

A great addition to the first book. Great narrator
Revisado: 07-17-23
Not sure why others thought this book wasn't good. Yes, it's all over the place, but that's how the story goes. There are multiple story lines going on, so not sure how else they're supposed to be told. unfortunate the 3rd and last book in the series is read by a completely different narrator(who is not good at reading aloud) so when I finished this great book very much hoping to continue this compelling story, alas I must physically read it.

Historia
Dr. Tyson Klein is a quantum physicist who has dedicated his entire life to his research. At CERN, he analyses data generated by the Large Hadron Collider, the world's biggest and most powerful particle accelerator. Now, Ty believes he's found a pattern in its output. It looks like an organised data stream, being broadcast over what he calls a quantum radio. Could it be a signal from another universe? A message sent from the future? Or something else entirely?

Great book, wonderful narrator
Revisado: 06-11-23
Not sure why so much hate for this book. sure, it doesn't explain the science. Did you really need that? For someone to come up with an explanation of something that doesn't exist? lol Well I don't. what I care about is interesting character and a plot line I can't very easily guess. This book provided me with both. The ending did feel a bit rushed to me but I still hope there will be more in this series.

Incredibly good story and narration. A Must Listen
Revisado: 02-01-23
I've just finished the 4th book in this series of 8 books and can barely wait to continue the rest.
Some people say this firdt book starts slowly but I'm not sure what they are using as comparison. Are these books as good as Lord Of The Rings? What? No! Why would hou ever make that comparison?! Buy they are very very good :) A story that spans so many separate books will inevitably take a little time to introduce all it's characters and such. And This books does just that, has a fairly unique main plot setting and very well thought out storyline as well as characters.
Please, for the sake of yourself and all your future and current bloodline. Listen to(or read) these books. Thank you for your time.

Historia
It's kill or be killed in the space penitentiary that houses the galaxy’s worst criminals, where convicts face off in gladiatorial combat while an underworld gambling empire reaps the profits of the illicit blood sport. But the newest contender in this savage arena, as demonic to behold as he is deadly to challenge, is fighting for more than just survival. His do-or-die mission, for the dark masters he serves, is to capture the ultimate weapon: an object that will enable the Sith to conquer the galaxy.

Historia
Twenty years have passed since Darth Bane, reigning Dark Lord of the Sith, demolished the ancient order devoted to the dark side and reinvented it as a circle of two: one Master to wield the power and pass on the wisdom, and one apprentice to learn, challenge, and ultimately usurp the Dark Lord in a duel to the death. But Bane’s acolyte, Zannah, has yet to engage her Master in mortal combat and prove herself a worthy successor. Determined that the Sith dream of galactic domination will not die with him, Bane vows to learn the secret of a forgotten Dark Lord that will assure the Sith’s immortality - and his own.

Great ending to an awesome trilogy. Best narrator around. Great inflection, perfect speed with a voice not too deep and not too high. A great Star Wars story, that I wish was continued on but alas it's only three books

Historia
Nothing ever changes in Sanders. The town's still got a video store, for God's sake. So why doesn't Eli Teague want to leave? Not that he'd ever admit it, but maybe he's been waiting - waiting for the traveler to come back. The one who's roared into his life twice before, pausing just long enough to drop tantalizing clues before disappearing in a cloud of gunfire and a squeal of tires. The one who's a walking anachronism, with her tricorne hat, flintlock rifle, and steampunked Model A Ford.

Historia
As a SEAL on combat deployment in Iraq, Mike Ritland saw a military working dog in action and instantly knew he found his true calling. While the SEAL teams had used dogs in the past, they never had dogs trained specifically by SEALs, for SEALs. To fill this void, Ritland started his own company after he retired, training and supplying dogs for the West Coast SEAL teams. He knew that less than 1% of all working dogs had what it takes to contribute to the success of our nation’s elite combat units. He searched the globe for animals who fit this specific profile.

A unique story written and read very well
Revisado: 04-22-13
This book is definitely worth every penny. It delivers a unique story that is both written and read very well. I'm really not sure why one of the other reviewers says this is a boring history book. There is some history in the book, but(as the author states) it really serves the listener, as to really understand what goes into the "making" of these dogs, you need to know some of "military-dog" related history. But this book is by no means only this(history). It delivers exactly what the title says, giving many different accounts/stories of the dogs and their SEAL handlers, both state side and down-range. And, just as the books title states, you also get some of the authors background along with detailed accounts of his training of the dogs as well as working them.
The narrator of the book(Jeff Gurner) does a great job reading, putting just the right amount of emotion into it. Mr.Hurner has also clearly done his "homework", since he pronounces the military-terms correctly. I point this out because, most unfortunately other "Navy-Seal" book narrators have not. I'm specifically referring the pronunciation of BUDS, which for some reason always ends up getting pronounced incorrectly, like having each individual letter spelled out or a myriad of other incorrect ways.
So, I guess if I were "forced" to find fault in this book, this only thing I could say is that it's to short.
