Historia
For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Then, when hope was so long lost that not even its memory remained, a terribly scarred, heart-broken half-Skaa rediscovered it in the depths of the Lord Ruler's most hellish prison.

What a story!
Revisado: 04-20-24
Wow, I didn’t think I was gonna like this book as I have never read a fantasy novel.
I was wrong. I fell in love with the characters. I laughed and I cried. What an amazing world this author built and filled with philosophy, romance, battle and redemption.
Highly recommend.

what the ????? No lead up to the end and then its over. Lots of fluff in between and very disjointed. Not happy with this selection.

Historia
Amos Decker's life changed forever - twice. The first time was on the gridiron. A big, towering athlete, he was the only person from his hometown of Burlington ever to go pro. But his career ended before it had a chance to begin. On his very first play, a violent helmet-to-helmet collision knocked him off the field for good and left him with an improbable side effect - he can never forget anything.

Meh....
Revisado: 11-04-19
The story was very far fetched and very strange to me. The most annoying thing to me was the constant references to the main character's weight, add nauseam...we get it, he is fat!
The narrator had a Russian accent and then a Boston accent for the same character.
overall, not one of Baldacci's better stories.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Took me a minute...
Revisado: 10-13-19
I started it and then stopped as I found it slow and almost too descriptive for me. I picked it up and tried again and then it caught my attention.
A good coming of age story with struggle and survival and the things that make us who we are.
Once I stopped analyzing everything, I enjoyed the story.
