Great follow up to the first book!!
Revisado: 02-27-24
This is a great follow up to the first book. The author does a great job tieing up loose ends and bringing the story line to a logical conclusion.

Historia
In 36 thrilling days, Melanie Radzicki McManus hiked 1,100 miles around Wisconsin, landing her in the elite group of Ice Age Trail thru-hikers known as the Thousand-Milers. In prose that's alternately harrowing and humorous, Thousand-Miler takes you with her through Wisconsin's forests, prairies, wetlands, and farms, past the geologic wonders carved by long-ago glaciers, and into the neighborhood bars and gathering places of far-flung small towns.

Great story, journey and an inspiration
Revisado: 12-17-21
As Iam researching for a thru hike of the Ice Age Trail, I discovered this book. I found some good trips and even better stories of the trail and that my friend and Co worker was the first person to thru hike the trail! He has always been a humble guy, but I sure would have loved to hear about it sooner! This research has become even more motivation for my Crack at the trail in 2022!

You walk into a restaurant and get an immediate sense that you should leave. You are about to step onto an elevator with a stranger, and something stops you. You interview a potential new employee who has the résumé to do the job, but something tells you not to offer the position. These scenarios all represent "left of bang", the moments before something bad happens.

Great info for anyone in harm's way.
Revisado: 02-22-19
This book and the information does a great job of teaching and articulating those things that set off our spidey senses. Anyone who works in or travels through areas of potential danger needs to read this book. It pulls a lot of great info together for those who have not grown up with or learned how to read people and situations.
