What can you say, it’s her life
Revisado: 08-15-22
ONJ was sweet. I expected her memoirs to be sweet. And that’s what it was, sweet. She didn’t really dive into details other than Grease and a few of her other movies. I didn’t really understand why her and Matt divorced. She seemed naive following others and easily influenced. It’s her life memoirs so it’s hard to be critical. It just seemed to me, her life was hard, With her parents divorce, struggling singer, injured multiple times, her health scares and her divorce. She kind of sugar coated it all and name dropped a lot. Overall, just an ok read.

I love this Author
Revisado: 08-15-22
I have read many series by Hope Callaghan. Her stories are fun, short and adventurous. Christian based and clean, they are well written. Her cozy cruise mysteries with Millie are awesome, I think we are on #22. The Savannah and Devine series are 5 star.
I just wish they were all on Audible.
Can’t wait to see how things progress for Sam and Lee in the Deception series!

I wanted to love it, but poof! Spoiler alert.
Revisado: 07-30-17
I was hooked. I couldn't wait to see how Coras story would unfold. And I loved Bertha! But along comes Ivo. Out of the gate, I couldn't stand him. I kept waiting for him to champion and to be the dashing gorgeous hero. There were hints and I wanted more. But he seemed cold and careless. Not showing for the rehearsal dinner...? Not telling her he was back when others knew...? The scene at the chapel...? going to India for 5 months during her pregnancy ..? The whole painting scene...? The party with with Teddy...? Left her at sunrise...? And on and on! The whole book I could not root for him. I was rooting for Teddy to come rescue her. It was frustrating. Great detail would be given and puff the character or happening had absolutely nothing to do with the story or anything! Like the girl on the police officers shoulders at the wedding, poof she was gone. Coras father, poofs out. Reggie and Cecelias romance poofed. Even Coras mother didn't get a proper resolve. The ending did surprise me a little. I was thankful. But a whittle angry because I spent a good 10+ hours convinced this was disaster, only to find out it was as it should have been. Having said all that, I do love a story to have twist even at the bitter end but unfortunately I wasn't happy for them. It just fell flat. I love reading a book and thinking, "hope they make this a movie". But unfortunately, for me, this wasn't one of them.

Historia
Early one morning, less than a month after her 18th birthday, Alexandrina Victoria is roused from bed with the news that her uncle William IV has died, and she is now queen of England. The men who run the country have doubts about whether this sheltered young woman, who stands less than five feet tall, can rule the greatest nation in the world. Surely she must rely on her mother and her venal advisor, Sir John Conroy, or her uncle, the Duke of Cumberland, who are all too eager to relieve her of the burdens of power.

I loved the first season on Masterpiece! And this, is that story. Books as we know are usually better than a movie or tv series. And this book did not disappoint. It left me wanting more. Well done !

ALMOST Unbearable
Revisado: 07-14-17
Started out with lots of high hopes. There are plenty of characters and lots of potential. But around chapter or episode 4. I was completely bored. I predicted the entire story. The story gets so narrow. Caroline and Ann are awesome! I loved their encounters. But the rest were so hum drum. I really expected more. And the person who the entire story centres around never really gets a story. It was all
In the past. Not impressed.

I liked the main character Trudy a lot. The story could anyone's life although It was a bit predictable. And things just fell her way over and over. I felt the end was rushed after the whole book is spent building a sweet love story. But a good beach read.
