This is a new author to me, so I said, why not give it a shot. To be honest this was not a bad “read.”
It jumped right into the fun (action) pretty quickly, and it developed nicely. It’s kind of like a “Romeo and Juliet” situation; now don’t take that and run with it either; once all info has been given to the reader.
I’d say it’s worth a read/listen if you’re into fantasy/paranormal based literature. Looking forward to listening to the following book, to see how the author continues to develop the story or if she branches off into something else.

Historia
It’s not unusual for Kai’s best friend and business partner to be a little hard to track down. Wolf shifters don’t always check email. But for Noah to drop off the grid for days? Something’s wrong. Noah’s trail dead-ends hard against Kai’s worst fear - a lab, a place of nightmares for creatures like him. As he prepares to walk in, he hopes like hell he’ll walk out again. With Noah. Preferably alive.

I recieved this book for free on audible, and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Book 2: stand alone.
Kasey (sp) goes to see Kai, after not seeing or hearing from Jake, her mate, in three days to explain her thoughts after he was supposed to take her out, but never showed. Kai insists she stay with him until they find Jake. Upon investigation of where Jake had last been, a lab they a part owners of, Kai meets, Lucy, the head scientist AND his mate. Lucy is curious by nature, and all too soon she realizes it has gotten the best of her because she finds herself in trouble. ***My only issue was that there was no fight or resistance when it came to the whole mate thing, especially with Lucy knowing NOTHING of the shifters; and also because in the beginning even Kai was questioning a mate when them being human was a possibility.*** Read on to find out what will happen when it comes to Kasey, Jake, Kai & Lucy.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

IT'S HARD TO GET MYSTICAL ABOUT YOUR JOB

imaginative but short
Revisado: 04-11-19
Just imagine, living in a time where everytime someone is murdered they come back to life, to a place they feel love and feel safe, their bodies reset to several hours before to death, well not everytime. Now, imagine having a job being the one who "murders" these people as a way to save them. Tony is a dispatcher, and he is responsible for “murdering” people who are on the verge of death, to save lives due to failed medical treatment or surgeries and even more traffic accidents.
What will Tony do when a detective comes around asking about a coworker who goes missing, is it a coincidence or is it related to what they do on a daily basis? is there more to this life of "killing" people?
Def worth the read if it's only a couple bucks. I got to listen to this for free on Audible, so I'm not upset.

Historia
We all tend to hold onto things that have happened in the past. It can feel like we are pulling a cart behind us with all are troubles and worries; it slows us down, and we can become tired, depressed, even jealous, as life seems so easy for others. All we need to do is let go of the cart, and we will feel lighter and free, but often we have held onto it so long that it has become part of us. Many of the people we know are also carrying carts, so it can seem normal.

Short but to the point

Great words about letting go & giving it over to God, when it comes to loss and other difficulties we encounter in life. I will say I am a tad disappointed the book wasn't longer.
