Historia
Since they were lured to the festival at Carousel, Riley (the Film Buff), Antoine (the Athlete), Camden (the Scholar), Anna (the Final Girl), and Kimberly (the Eye Candy) have lived through entire horror movie plots. So far, Riley's survival strategy is working. He's high on his Moxie, Hustle, and Savvy stats. But his Mettle and Grit have dropped dangerously low, leaving him vulnerable. If he gets caught by a killer, he's done for.

Historia
When horror-obsessed Riley Lawrence and his group of college friends arrive in the small town of Carousel for their Centennial Celebration, the few decrepit cars parked in the street don’t scare them. But when they enter a locked building, an animatronic usher hands them each a ticket, and the lights dim, Riley realizes they’ve entered the inescapable patchwork of a horror movie set. And they’ve each been assigned an archetype—Scholar, Athlete, Eye Candy, Final Girl—to play out as the curtains rise.

A unique and new take on LitRPG 4.5 stars
Revisado: 05-06-24
Being the first book in a web novel, I’m not surprised at the fact that the story feels incomplete or maybe just a bit like a lot of set up. I’ve noticed that is what usually happens with this format of story (web novels).
Nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed it, mostly off of the uniqueness of the concept alone. “Would you survive a horror movie?” We’ve all thought it. This book is that question with stats and skills added on. I am very much excited for the next book in the series.
There are many questions about Carousel that I am excited to have answered. And I am hoping that the author gives us some deep lore on Carousel. I think that this world is truly brimming with possibilities. Unfortunately though, having no the other works from this author to look at as a measure of his skill I can only hope that he will tap into the depths that I feel are within the world he has made.
The main character is also interesting and feels pretty human, unlike the usual LitRPG MC’s who are overpowered from the get go and are more or less emotionless psychopaths, he plays a bit more of a support role and doesn’t start out with a broken ability though I feel as though his “oblivious bystander” skill can be broken later down the line. There are also a lot of questions about him and his role in Carousel that I am excited to have answered.
Finally the narration is top notch, i like the narrators voice and almost instantly started to look for more works by him. I was pleasantly surprised to have found he narrated a book I had in my library that I had listened to some odd years ago, so I might give that another listen.
All in all, I’d give the book a solid 4.5 stars out of 5. Quite enjoyable and I’m excited for what’s to come.

Historia
Years ago, Lindon left his home as a powerless Unsouled. Now, he goes to war with the most powerful beings in the world over the future of Cradle itself. The Weeping Dragon has a grudge to settle, and Lindon intends to take out the Dreadgod with his friends by his side. But rival Monarchs know his plans, and they won’t let things end so easily. If Lindon does win, he will ascend to the heavens. But he may not find a safe haven there either.

What an epic journey and awesome adventure.
Revisado: 09-26-23
I hate to see it end, but watching Lindon go from weak to shaking the world with his will is one I've enjoyed through each book, without fail. I can't help but wish for more, but all amazing things must come to an end eventually, and I can't complain with the way this one has concluded.
Will Wight has crafted a masterpiece with the Cradle series, one that I have no doubt will only grow bigger as time goes on. With the added benefit of having a stellar narration from the talented Travis Baldree, there is next to nothing this series could have done better.

Historia
Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

Historia
Damian Banach's journey from Crow to Cape comes to a thrilling conclusion in this fall's One Tin Soldier! Every year, the best Academy third-years are offered internships with Free States Cape teams, while the rest join the Mission on a multi-month expedition to bring hope and relief to the Badlands. This year is different though...and it's not just because Damian Banach, the Academy's only Crow, actually volunteered for the Mission. The fact is, Damian's not headed into the Badlands for relief work. He's going because he owes someone a favor, and that favor has come due.

Just great, a fitting end for the baby crow.
Revisado: 05-29-22
Damian's story is over, and what a fitting end it is. Just like his first two stories, it is soaked in blood, sweat, agony and death. Just as you would expect from a story told by Walker. But as bittersweet it is to see his story end, the gore-soaked bow that it is wrapped in is one I am more than satisfied with. This final book is once again expertly narrated by Joseph Vernon who I've come to expect great things from, and he does not disappoint, I would be more than happy to listen to more work by him. Looking forward to more stories from Chris Tullbane, whether it be from a Post-Break World or not.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

MC is a self righteous knob
Revisado: 11-21-21
Jason is the most preachy main character I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. The story is interesting and well written and the narration is pretty good. Jason takes away from all of that, I have never hated a main character more in my entire life. For an atheist the guy gives more sermons than a Catholic priest.

Historia
Though still mourning his recent loss, George Orton is surprisingly content. He's living in a secure compound where teenaged werewolf Ally is being trained to control her animalistic tendencies, and mad science experiment Eugene has regained most of his sanity. George knows they can't stay there forever, but for now, things are pretty good. Then he receives some shocking news: People at the compound have brought his partner and best friend Lou back to life. Not as a flesh-eating zombie; he's the old Lou, as much of a wiseass as before.

Historia
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

This book is amazing. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen. And if this book doesn't make you do that little nose snort laugh atleast once, (or just break out into a full on laugh) you either don't have a sense of humor, or... Y'know what? No, you just don't have a sense of humor. GET. THIS. BOOK.
