Historia
In It’s Always Been Ours, eating disorder specialist and storyteller, Jessica Wilson, challenges us to rethink what having a “good” body means in contemporary society. By centering the bodies of Black women in her cultural discussions of body image, food, health, and wellness, Wilson argues that we can interrogate white supremacy’s hold on us and reimagine the ways we think about, discuss, and tend to our bodies.

Amazing
Revisado: 05-06-24
I laughed, cried, felt and lived with this book. One of the best things I’ve read (heard) in a very long time. I’ve never felt so seen while simultaneously acknowledging how much I don’t know as an RD who is just now delving into working with BIPOC with EDs. Thank you so much Jessica for such an amazing and inspiring work of art. The labor you put forth to create this is not lost on me. I appreciate you putting this out into the world. I feel so proud and happy to be a Black woman in ways I’ve longed to feel.
