I've read all the books, listened to podcasts & YouTube channels, and watched every minute of Alex Murdaugh's trial. You might say I'm familiar with this case. I had to read the book of the reporter chosen to visit Moselle with the jury pool. Valerie Bauerlein's book is so well done and nuanced, it made everything new again and even more compelling. Since I was sorry to hear it end, I'm going to listen all over again. It's that good. If you're interested in a Murdaugh book, make it this one.

I finished most of it, but had to bail very near the end when Nash, a hard-wired liberal, physically joined the Occupy Wall Street radicals. As I grew up in the same era, I well remember each historical event he recounts and every contentious iteration of CSNY. I especially enjoyed the details and explanations of the stories behind the story, like his certainty that Cass Elliot died from drugs because he had known her to still be using, even though the official cause of death was heart failure . What I had to wade through was his condemning finger wagging at anyone who does not ascribe to his politics, causes, and beliefs. If I ever do a re-listen, I will fast forward through those parts. In a nutshell, I reasonably enjoyed this listen.

Especially enjoyed this episode for Rob & Drew's stories of striving for, and attaining a semblance of, normalcy in the land of plastic people.

If you are a fan of The Inbetweeners (my all-time fave show) or the Buckley's YouTube channel, you will love this book. James and Clair's back and forth narration is a nice contrast, and provides an opportunity for insight into each as individuals. Their banter is entertaining, and as an American, I adore their different accents. I listened to the entirety of this book while working an afternoon in the yard. It is light and delightful and made same of my yardwork. Thanks to Clair, James, Harrison, and Jude, for sharing their regular, but chucklesome lives!

This was not the worst book I have ever read, but it was definitely in the top two. As a forever "Prairie" fan, I really tried to hang in there. However, this has the dubious distinction of being the only Audible book I abandoned midway to return for credit.

Loved her first book, but the liberal dogma throughout this failed sophomore effort got in the way of anything else I may have been interested in. There was simply little interesting content. It gave the feeling she wrote it because the bank account needed bolstering. With only a few exceptions, like Bruce Boxleitner's indifference contributing to the end of the marriage, most of the story seemed gratuitous. She theatrically gushed about repurposed bowling alley wood for her rehabbed house, the insipid minutiae of baby chicks, falling snow, mice, or the monotonous contents of her garden, which undoubtedly still has creosote leeching from the timbers, even though she futilely wrapped them in plastic. It's all so droll. This book is like me writing about my tedious decades of living out here in the bucolic boondocks after growing up in the city. Boring to anyone but me......nope often boring to me!

She recounts her detailed (read snooze fest) daily life through Covid. We learn, not surprisingly at this point, that she is of the ilk perpetuating much of the incongruent, fear-mongering propaganda coming from her personal hero, Dr. Fauci, not to mention heralding the sanctified martyrdom of George Floyd. Her off-putting world view aside, I stumbled over a few mispronunciations, tried to gloss over her tacit sense of entitlement, and rolled my eyes at the abject ignorance of navigating even the smallest of life's hitches and glitches, like how to clean. At some point, my desire for any other mundane sound outweighed the audible dreck I had endured for some hours, so I eagerly pulled the plug.

The best part was Tim Busfield's foreward. Poor guy deserves a medal.

What a great find in this guy. As a conservative podcast junkie, I am always looking for quality content. Unfortunately, I don't always find it, even with the well-knowns. There is something pleasing in the timbre of William Hall's voice, and his delivery, as well as show content, is top notch. He followed me on Gettr, so I thought I'd give him a listen -- glad I did! I'll continue to make him a regular in my podcast rundown. Thank you, and keep up the good fight, William Hall!

I wanted to love this podcast. For my first (and only) listen, I chose a story I had seen on Dateline so that I would be familiar with the details on a comparative, story-telling basis. I was expecting a true crime story to be presented in a relevant, Forensic Files manner that we're all accustomed to. That was my mistake. What I was subjected to instead, was a cacophony of sorority girl chatter interspersed with the actual story. If you enjoy listening to cringe-worthy, mindless banter from nescient Gen-Xers, you will love this podcast.

Tucker cites chapter and verse, in straightforward terms & easy to understand explanations, what liberals believe, and how they put those beliefs into action. It becomes especially delicious as he goes on to point out the specific contradictions & hypocrisy of their misguided dogma (note my profound generosity). If you watch Tucker, this read is the same familiar comfort zone, only more in depth and comprehensive. Time well spent.
