Quite Good
Revisado: 11-19-23
I liked the story line but it seemed a bit winding and confusing. The use of strange terms was just too much.
The performer tried to bring it to life and that's very admirable. Bravo to him.
Overall, it's quite good. I may need to listen again to understand it fully. Maybe I'll need an "aniagramatic" manifestation to help me.

Historia
Minalan gets medieval! When you defeat the invading goblin army, get knighted on the field of battle, gifted with lands and gold, usually your happily-ever-after is...happy. But now that Minalan the Spellmonger has been ennobled and enfiefed, Sire Minalan has a task cut out for him that makes defeating goblins seem like child’s play: Moving his very pregnant bride and a few thousand refugees from Boval Vale into the remote, sparsely peopled Domain of Sevendor. But when he arrives, he finds the land withered from neglect, filled with superstition and suspicion.

Expertly Done
Revisado: 10-13-23
The writer expertly weaves the story with such grace and suspense that it keeps you at the edge of your seat with a content smile permanently fixed on your face.
The narrator performs it with such a verve that it brings the words to life that the listener cannot but be carried into the writer's world.

A Bit Disappointed
Revisado: 01-17-23
Not as good as the previous ones that Kyle Mills has completed.
The story line was not as intriguing or suspense filled as older books I've read.
The narrator did well as always and I loved the narration. I think I listened because it was Guidall narrating.

A bit anticlimactic
Revisado: 05-01-21
I enjoyed every bit and could hardly pause listening until I got to the end. The ending was kind of abrupt and I felt let down. I hope the follow on book is exciting to the end.

Revisado: 07-15-20
I've listened to or read countless philosophical works and I just say this book takes the concept of strategy to a different level. I enjoyed listening to it as it agitated my mind always.

Hundreds of thousands are dead, and the entire island is evacuated and quarantined in just a few days' time. Pure Artistry
Revisado: 08-15-19
Weaving thoughts into life with words is nothing short of Pure Literary Artistry.
The narrator is just so good. I just added him to my list of super narrators.
The story incorporates moral lessons into a theme of adventure, love and great suspense. I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.

Truly Captivating
Revisado: 07-15-19
I'm glad I listened to this audio book. It really got me deep in thought. I'd say no one should ever endure such in their marriage but calm seas never made great sailors.
Bravo to the playwright for this truly beautiful piece. hope she writes a sequel to this.
To the performer, I'll say good job bringing the entire play to life. I felt as though I was watching a live theatre performance.

EXCEPTIONAL
Revisado: 04-19-19
John Conroe is an excellent writer. He weaves plot within plot interspersed with suspense that keeps the reader eager for the next action. The narrator's skill in bringing the characters to life is truly remarkable. To me, it is always like watching the story in High Definition 3D. A truly exceptional piece.
