Would you consider the audio edition of The Pompey Hollow Book Club to be better than the print version?

Unfortunately, I have not read the printed version of this book. I tend to listen to more books than I read now a days.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Pompey Hollow Book Club?

There so many it is hard to pick a specific moment. I guess the swapping of the sandwich for a quarter. It set the whole tone of the book.

What does Lee Alan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Had I read the book, I would have had my voice in my head. Having Lee Alan read the book I could imagine my grandfather relating tales from his boyhood. Lee added the extra dimension to the story.

Any additional comments?

It is a story about how people are kind and generous to each other.

It is a story about how people work together and accomplish great things.

It is a story that the leaders of our country should read. They could absolutely learn from this work of art.

And this one was great! I love the way Ms.Flagg moves back and forth between the present and the past, while telling the story. Her characters are believable and enjoyable. Ms. Flagg is the narrator and she has a great voice. She varies her voice just enough that each character is distinguishable. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!
