Historia
After receiving a lead from an unlikely source, Juliana, the mortician tasked with the bodies of victims of the "Carolina Creeper", the South’s most notorious serial killer in decades, sets off to New Orleans in search of Theresa Morris, an heiress and presumably the Creeper’s only surviving victim. Theresa now goes by “Tess” and is a shadow of her former heiress self. She’s also being pursued by famous novelist Michael, who sets his sights on Tess as the muse of his work-in-progress, oblivious to her former identity.

This Broke Me (In A Good Way)
Revisado: 07-22-20
Prior to listening to this book, I'll be honest, I was a loudmouth about the fact that I detested audiobooks. This is the book that broke me. I'm an addict now. Pretty Broken Things, complete with all three narrators, kept my attention SO completely, that I couldn't actually stop listening to it. I stayed up all night just to finish it.
There are some VERY creepy scenes in this book. Beings that I am a fan of books like this, that's nothing new to me... But Melissa Marr writes them well enough that I had to take a hreak a couple times to process what I had just heard - get some coffee, calm down, center myself, and come back to the book fresh. The narration here? It HELPS that. These narrators are excellent at pushing emotion - or voiding their voices of such if necessary - through their reading.
I'd absolutely recommend this audiobook for fans of the thriller genre - and I'd instantly pick up any more written like this. Please give this a shot.
