feels rushed and uninformed with too much politics
Revisado: 12-11-23
writer does not fact check and has strayed way to far into his own veiw point rather thana good story or any sense of whats true. only thing that saves it is the narration.

Historia
Felix's life on Earth had become a series of dead-end jobs, ruined relationships, and rotating apartments smaller than most postage stamps. By all accounts, even his own, he was a coward. Too afraid to move forward, to take risks. Yet when given the chance to choose between risking his life or walking away from a deadly encounter, he didn't hesitate. Moments before his untimely demise, Felix was snatched from earth and thrust into a magical world known only as "The Continent". Empowered by the "System", he learns that he can strengthen himself through combat and dedication.

terrible book with great narration
Revisado: 10-09-23
75% of this book is stats. no story no consequences and !no fighting! the fight scenes are skipped or glanced over. its all he killed this with this he dodge this he used this no real feeling behind them. it might as well jus continue to say an enemy has been defeated. mc get everything instantly and is just perfect at everything instantly. This book is just bad. the only thing that makes it bearable enough to listen to half way through is the narration.

Historia
Kenji's only dream in life is to become a great rebirther like his father. But with no talent for the mystic arts, the age-old tradition of cultivating essence by returning things to their newborn state, to grow a second and third time, is far beyond his grasp. Worse still, he is yet to be rebirthed himself and stands a dullard of a giant among his diminutive peers. Relegated to working the orchards as a common laborer, Kenji settles into a life of lowered expectations; with no chance for advancement and no chance of pursuing the woman he loves.

you want it to get better but it doesn't
Revisado: 09-08-23
this book feels like it's about to get good until the end when you realize it's just a bad book that has a worse ending. story had potential but bad execution. no consequences no emotion no feeling of risk. the narration was poor and had no emotion but honestly the way it was written properly made that hard. this feels like a rough draft that was never ironed out and the ending was abysmally bad.

2 steps back from his other books
Revisado: 01-09-23
I felt like was trying to push an agenda in this book compared to earlier books. also certain plot twists where not needed not properly lead up to or too kidish. I don't want to <spoil> anything but death is a real thing it's not enteresting if there are never any consequences

let Nick do his magic.
Revisado: 12-13-22
swapping our narration was a bad call. Emily Lawrence did a good job but having them read chapters through off the flow of the book. Nick podel would have done better alone. also this book seemed to have less details then the others however the story was more ingaging. I enjoyed how it had a more realistic outcome SPOILED: death is a thing and the charectes don't show the mental ethics of todlers. overall the story was better but the narration should have been left alone.
