Historia
The year is 1920: Flying in the face of convention, legendary American adventuress Beryl Helliwell never fails to surprise and shock. The last thing her adoring public would expect is that she craves some peace and quiet. The humdrum hamlet of Walmsley Parva in the English countryside seems just the ticket. And, honestly, until America comes to its senses and repeals Prohibition, Beryl has no intention of returning stateside and subjecting herself to bathtub gin.

Love an English village murder
Revisado: 01-18-25
if you like Midsommer Murders, this is a great book for you. Fantastic crime solving duo set in a quiet English village filled with the usual drama and gossip. Top notch narration too.

Narrator was hard to listen to
Revisado: 04-15-21
The overall plot of this story was not bad, but I personally had difficulty enjoying the narration. The voices were too similar and the reading a bit stiff. Malfurion and Tyrande are some of my favorite characters from WoW and I wanted to know more about their storyline especially after The War of the Ancients. I'm glad I finished but, but that was a struggle.

More!! I need more!!
Revisado: 01-26-21
This was a great and too short of a story. In less than an hour, the author and narrator managed to build a world that lent a window to the lives of ordinary people amidst growth and heart break. Time to start looking into more works by this author.

Historia
What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.

Funny and witty with a narrator that has a good range of voices for all of the characters. Must read for all the table top role playing gamers out there.

Historia
That night, visions mocked Vol’jin. He found himself in the midst of fighters, each of whom he recognized. He’d gathered them for that final assault on Zalazane, to end his madness and free the Echo Isles for the Darkspears. Each of the combatants took on aspects of a jihui cube, faced to be at their maximum power. Not a fireship among them, but this did not surprise Vol’jin.

The Best Warcraft audiobook so far!!
Revisado: 01-08-21
This is a beautiful piece of poetry and lore. Vol'jin's story of personal growth and friendship with different races nearly brought tears to my eyes. The story line focused on his path to figuring out who and what Vol'jin truly wants to be after Garrosh's betrayal. 5 stars for the narrator who told this story with the outmost eloquence that captured my attention to the very end.
On a side note, gotta love Chen's character as both a clown and master brewer.

Great Additon to the Dispatcher series.
Revisado: 12-11-20
Even though this is Book 2, you don't necessarily need Book 1 to understand the story's premise. The book does a good job summarizing the current state of affairs and rules that the dying and not dying usually follows. Clever and funny banter kept the morbid subject interesting and continuously moving at an even pace. Quite a plot twist that makes for a not so boring story. I'm also starting to appreciate these quick listens from Audible that I can go through while doing paperwork - makes the day go by faster.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Something to tide Firefly fans over
Revisado: 11-25-20
Thank goodness for this gem that has honestly satiated, temporarily, my thirst for more Firefly storyline. Absolutely love all of the characters and their relationships with each other. Narration is top notch and easy to follow between character switches. It's a bitter sweet novel of love, friendship, and betrayal making me appreciate the writing and the Firefly 'verse that much more.
