Historia
Tisaanah bargained away her own freedom to save those she left behind in slavery. Now, bound by her blood pact, she must fight the Orders' war—and Max is determined to protect her at all costs. But when a betrayal tears apart Ara, Max and Tisaanah are pushed into an even bloodier conflict. Tisaanah must gamble with Reshaye's power to claim an impossible victory. And Max, forced into leadership, must confront everything he hoped to forget: his past, and his own mysterious magic. All the while, darker forces loom—far darker, even, than the Orders' secrets.

WHAT HAPPENED HERE??
Revisado: 11-05-24
I swear these books started pretty good and then it was like a tween started in and the writing became...ridiculous. I don't know what happened but the quality got pushed to the side and frankly, it's almost embarrassing. What a drag.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

I absolutely LOVED the narrator. There's a way Indigenous people speak and MAN I got homesick. That's it. ... I'm craving some frybread. Something I wish to hell I taught my husband to cook before I became disabled. I hope to hear many MANY more books from this author. thank you for this. definitely special.

The Overstory unfolds in concentric rings of interlocking fable that range from antebellum New York to the late 20th-century Timber Wars of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. An air force loadmaster in the Vietnam War is shot out of the sky, then saved by falling into a banyan. An artist inherits 100 years of photographic portraits, all of the same doomed American chestnut. My grandmother, she'd marvel at this
Revisado: 08-31-24
The truth it spoke. My grandmother, who's Indigenous lineage goes back since the tribe landed in California after leaving the Catalina island always said that. Tho, she often spoke of red haired giants and how Bigfoot marked his families home with tree art and hoops howls and banging. Now that I'm an old woman who's told these stories to MY grandkids I'm wondering if they weren't ALL true. Plus whoever wrote this is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about foliage, science tec and marriage.
