Using his connections, and SEAL training, Mozart believes he's finally tracked the killer to the town of Big Bear, California. Summer Pack is working in a crappy motel up at Big Bear Lake until she can find something better, more meaningful, more real.

Weak background on heroine. Vulgar torture scene.
Revisado: 08-02-24
I’ve listened to the series and have loved them all so far. I’ve been looking forward to hearing about Mozart’s love story because I’ve liked his character from the beginning! I didnt understand the attraction to Summer in this book though. We never really find out much about her besides that she’s down on her luck.. still don’t really know the story of what happened with her Ex-husband? And there isn’t much explanation or details on her past life experiences.
Then the scene after she’s kidnapped is the most vulgar so far that I’ve read of these books. That will stick with me- almost skipped the part completely.
All in all I love the series of these books, but this one just didn’t measure up to the others.

Intriguing Read. Would love to see it made into a movie.

Overall I liked this book! Interesting throughout. I will say, if you’re looking for something funny or uplifting this is NOT the book for you. Made me feel sorrowful and depressed sometimes.

Not Susan Mallery’s best unfortunately
Revisado: 05-14-21
Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors! However this last book really let me down. I had a hard time getting into it in the beginning. I didnt feel a connection to the characters as quickly as I had in many of her other books. The towards the middle-end of the book I started to really like some of the characters, but then I felt like she got bored with her own story and wrapped it up really quick. I felt like she could have done a lot more with where the store line was headed, but she just wrapped up in “epilogue 3 years later”.
Hoping some new stories are in the works! :)

Historia
There's a budding romance on Butler Mountain, but in the hornets' nest known as the Abbott family, keeping a secret is no easy feat... Colton Abbott and Lucy Mulvaney have a secret. Colton's nosy siblings have begun to put the pieces together, but it's not like Lucy to keep things from those closest to her - especially her best friend, Cameron, who recently moved to Vermont to live with her true love, Will. But Lucy isn't about to tell Cam she's having a fling... with Will's brother.

Repetitive sex scenes were a bit annoying
Revisado: 01-22-21
Good story line overall. But Colton is your typical horn ball man that seems to get a continuous boner if Lucy even takes a deep breath. I felt like I just wanted to hear more about their connection on building their relationship, but most of it was all about the repetitive sex scene that always seemed to be the same experience. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good sex scene... but after the same thing over and over, it just got boring.
