Wonderful! Brad Wills did an amazing job

I was a little concerned about this book...a Serpent! However, Kathryn Le Veque and Brad Wills decided me, and I am very glad. The story is excellent--getting to renew acquaintance with characters from previous books...only much older.
The narration was superb. The Welsh accents and women's voices were so well done.
I enjoyed every minute!

Very enjoyable listen! The broad Yorkshire accents could have make understanding some of the character difficult, but the narrator did an excellent job with them.
Fun story--classic Heyer.

Interesting, if improbable, story. The narrator did female voices well--the male voices were not done as well. They sounded "lispy" and not quite right.

An intelligent and interesting story well told. The topic was unique-rare book collecting during the Regency period. Characters were well developed.

I was so distracted by the narrator's voice that I couldn't finish it...

I have ordered the book to read...because i want to know how it ends! I hate to give a negative review to a narrator because I can imagine how difficult it is and the problem was not how she delivered the material but the narrator's voice (too high pitched for me..).

Where does Compromising the Marquess rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty average...so/so listen.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The narrator's voice was good for the female parts...not so much for the male. She mispronounced many words (not because of the differences between British and American English). These issues were distracting.

I don't know if I would listen to this narrator again--her cadence was off and I found her less than wonderful to listen to--

The story is a good epilogue...the narrator is not very enjoyable for me. I did not like how he does female voices. His voice is fine...just not for this...
