I never knew any of these facts about the church. Fascinating comparison between Rome and America. Vivid descriptions of how early Christians endured and finally really did change the world. The audible version is gripping and read very well. I usually increase speed by 1.5, but not this time. I am buying the written version to make notes. Great book to teach you what you never knew.

Well written, thought provoking. Loved this book. Made me think about animal communication in a whole new way. As well I felt validated about the bonds between human and animal.

I am buying the written book for myself and sending it to my extended family. I loved the true stories which the authors use to drive home key concepts. The spiritual aspect of dog and human bond, especially the last story, beautiful and fulfilling

His best book ever and that is saying a lot!

Well written, thrilling action. Greaney has an uncanny ability to put the reader inside a vast array of characters, so that you understand what - & why they do what they do. I loved the inner descriptions of vast array of people. He describes goodness and self sacrifice as well as incredible evil and selfishness.Jay Snyder’s voice is magical, genuine accents and male to female, old to young voices! Subtle & unobtrusive at same time. Natural.

I was consoled and had my faith deepened after reading this book. If you are Catholic or not, the stories and his explanation with his proofs of life after death for all creatures seemed real and encouraging.

you may think you know dogs, but you don't- not like Cesar. information on dog behavior and about pack behavior.
The last chapter tied it all together. Facinating man, very wise.

great detailed descriptions of places, people, & action

loved this book. the facinating facts about politics and history, gave me new understanding of aid organizations, relief work, and most of all the terrifying descriptions of gangs or mobsters, whether in Russia, Africa, or Europe - new insight. Fight scenes were realistic. The voices of the characters added much to the story. women, young foreign men, old Russian mobster and so on. even the voices of american CIA and military men all unique, vivid, believable. I forgot my worries- transported to another world view. The author would -at crucial intervals -give a summation of previous events which in this complicated story line I found most helpful.
