Historia
Mia is reluctant to go camping with her boyfriend and sister, who are graduate students working on a dissertation about American folklore. But ultimately, they convince her to help document the trip. The group sets off to Black Creek, a remote destination in the Pacific Northwest where Bigfoot has allegedly been sighted. They think they’re prepared for anything, but their sense of terror grows as they find more and more evidence to suggest the monster really is out there. Eventually, Mia realizes she’ll be lucky just to make it out of the woods alive.

Pretty entertaining for the length

I enjoyed it for sure! For how short it is I liked the story and the pace was quick.

Way over the top cringey comedy/sci fi with an unlikeable protagonist
Revisado: 01-20-23
This is one of the most important space missions in human history and they send an unbearably immature, joke making astronaut who doesn’t at all seem to take her role seriously. Always pranking her lone crewmate, this is one of the most cringey characters I have ever come across in sci-fi. She is reckless in the way she jokes/pokes fun at what is happening around her and doesn’t at all seem realistic. No way would NASA send such an unbearably annoying loose canon on a mission like this. I couldn’t get past it. There’s a good story in here somewhere but unfortunately it’s buried underneath all this cringe. Yikes.

Cringey comedy/sci fi
Revisado: 01-18-23
I can’t get over how cringey the main female character is. She is supposed to be on this very important mission but she won’t stop cracking jokes or pranking her fellow crewmate. She doesn’t take anything at all seriously and was so irritating to me. I get that that is how the character is written, but to me it was very annoying. I suppose it was to make the overall experience entertaining but for me it took me out of the story

Historia
Suffering from writer's block, novelist Rachel Ames escapes to a lake cabin to calm her mind and regain a sense of herself. The location is perfect. Isolated. Beautiful. Inspiring. It even comes with a good-looking landlord who shows an interest in her. But she can't shake the sense that something terrible has followed her to the lake, something just beyond her consciousness, something out on the edge where the sounds of a raging fire and sirens linger whenever she slows down to listen.

Great scary story
Revisado: 04-20-18
I really enjoyed this somewhat short tale. Clear and concise with twists in every chapter with a bit of a homage to Stephen King. Not especially terrifying but a great spooky yarn none-the-less
