Historia
Pretty Amy Denovo wants to find the father she has never seen, but she can't afford Nero Wolfe's outlandish fees...or can she? Suddenly, she's knocking on the detective's door with a parcel full of bills in hand - and a quarter of a million hidden in her closet. It's all part of a nest egg left by her unknown father. But when Wolfe and his able assistant, Archie Goodwin, begin to trace the money to the man, they make a startling discovery: Amy's father murdered her mother, and now he may be after her.

Historia
In this incisive memoir, Steve Lukather tells the complete Toto story. He also lifts the lid on what went on behind the closed studio doors, shedding light on the unique creative processes of some of the most legendary names in music: from Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, and Elton John to Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, and Aretha Franklin. Lukather’s extraordinary tale also encompasses the dark side of stardom and the American Dream. Frank, engaging, and often hilarious, The Gospel According to Luke is no ordinary rock memoir.

Good story... performer was distracting
Revisado: 08-11-17
I really did not enjoy the main readers performance. Her tone was close to a wistful robot in many portions, making me audibly groan with annoyance and pain as I listened. She REALLY frustrated me with her monotone and constant tone drop at the end. Of. Every. Sentence.
The story was engaging and the ONLY reason I continued to listen. I wanted to know what happened. I enjoyed the presentation of how quickly things changed in China at the time and was fascinated.
The main reader for this story was a HUGE distraction. I wish I had read the story instead of listening to this reader... but again, the story itself was good while highly dramatic in the many sequences that took place.

Gripping tale!
Revisado: 12-01-15
I found the story very compelling and my only difficulty at first was that it's written from first person POV and the main character is quite young, but the audible reader does not sound young. Took an hour or two to get used to it in the first book, but totally acclimated now. Love this series, can't wait for the next one.
