This is an awesome project with many great stories and tales about one of the very best artists this country has ever given birth to. Please enjoy this book, I loved it and will certainly “read it” again. Rest in peace Levon.

If you are a fan of country music, you will love every moment of this incredible book. Both Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan contribute to the excellence of this artistic book and American art form. They share the background stories with such superb skill that you’ll listen whenever you’re able. Please download it, you’ll be glad you did.

This is so well written and a delightful window into the life of one of Americas finest artists. It’s so good that I’m going to go back to page one and start the encore!

Do not let the mediocre narration get in the way

This is absolutely one of my favorite Graham Greene novels, one that I have reread three times now. It provides a very unique insight into Vietnam during the 1950s prior to direct US involvement. Though the narration is uneven and the American accents in particular are dreadful, do not let that get in the way of this incredible story.

With little historical material to draw on the author relied heavily on second and third hand information. His writing was also heavily biased with his own opinions which I found often offputting. That said I would say it's still a worthwhile audiobook for people with an interest in Bessie Smith.
