LOVE
Revisado: 08-02-20
I read bird box years ago before it was a movie and it has always stuck with me. For me it was one of those stories that is so unsettling, intense, and thought provoking (in a good way) that I would randomly find myself thinking back to it and wondered and hypothesized about the many unknowns of the story. If months or years down the road I still continue to think about about a story and have it spark wonder and curiosity ... that’s a special story. So thank you - Josh Malerman for both of these books! Plus, Cassandra Campbell is the best narrater of all time ! Seriously! I always enjoy books that she narrates!

Historia
A riveting investigation of the myriad ways that parasites control how other creatures - including humans - think, feel, and act. These tiny organisms can live only inside another animal, and, as McAuliffe reveals, they have many evolutionary motives for manipulating their host's behavior. Far more often than appreciated, these puppeteers orchestrate the interplay between predator and prey.

I have always been drawn to stories of time travel - like so many others I'm sure! but being able to grasp the intricate and complex parts of those stories.. well that takes a deep mind! The author did a great job... i definitely recommend! the idea that we might be able to do it all again is magical and intoxicating and this book gave me all the feels.
