Historia
Ross Ward is bound by the chains of his past he never could seem to shake, leaving him living in darkness, detached from the world around him, and an obsessive workaholic with really only one rule: mind your own business. Until one night, there was Adalind Hollis - scared, confused, in need of help. And for the first time, he couldn't convince himself to walk away, to mind his own business. Even after she was getting the care she needed, he couldn't seem to make himself stay away. But keeping her close meant he would eventually have to let her in.

Gripping story
Revisado: 01-05-24
Just like the Henchmen, this was a great story. Only negative is at times the female narrator sounded almost robotic. But other than that it was really good. Great character and story development at a fast pace.

Historia
He was just supposed to be saving her from herself...and the half dozen criminal enterprises that would want her blood when they realized what she had done. What he hadn't planned on was her invading every aspect of his life with her fiery temper and inability to take no for an answer. And when he finally got beneath her walls and found out why she had gotten herself into trouble in the first place, he knew what he needed to do. He sure as hell didn't think he would end up being the one who would need saving.

My favorite so far
Revisado: 01-04-24
By far the best book out of the first 3 Henchman books. The development and story was gripping from beginning to end. I would’ve preferred a different narrator for Janie from the first 3 and the male narrator was good for Wolf but there should be other narrators for cash and reign bc they are younger. But overall the best in the first 3

Historia
My life has been about three things - brotherhood, good times, and women. Easy. Nothing complicated. That was until Willow Swift came barging back into my life, face bloodied, banging at the gates of The Henchmen compound calling in a favor owed. Now, a marker is a marker and I had to make good, but if there was one woman in the world I didn't need in my life, it was the hard-as-stone, hot-as-sin Willow Swift and whatever mysterious ghosts from her past that were haunting her present.

Not as good as Reign, but still very well done
Revisado: 01-02-24
This is a good series. Reign was better than cash but it was still really good. Well written, pretty good character development. Only issue I had was with the audiobook itself bc the narrators were the same as Reign and Low. So when listen to their voices it’s hard to adjust from the different characters in the first few chapters. Other than that it was good.

Reign is no stranger to the criminal underbelly and hard life, but when a random woman comes (literally) crashing into his life - learning things she has no business knowing, and bringing with her the weight of the city's biggest skin trader - the "hard life" starts to take on a whole new meaning.

Good Read
Revisado: 01-01-24
This was a really good read. The characters and development were overall well done. The female narrator was great! The male was fine, my only feedback was how much older he sounded, but once you get into the book, it’s pretty close to the end you realize he’s in his 40s or close to it, so having a more mature sound made sense. This one had me from the beginning, very well done. I can’t wait to read the rest.

Historia
Max Troika never thought he’d be the alpha of his pack. That was his older brother’s fate. Assassinations have a way of ruining everything. Including who Max can take as a mate. It sure isn’t the cute and curvy librarian inspiring his dirtiest dream every night. Galyna Shirvan has it bad for a guy she never thought a chubby librarian like her could ever win over. Now he’s got all the hots for her, too.

It was interesting…
Revisado: 12-31-23
I have not read the next 2 in the series. This one was ok, but the dialogue with the girls seems very juvenile. At times I would roll my eyes when it was the female part, like the author wanted Gal to be intelligent by she came off flakey, as did other female characters as well. The male story was a little better but it lacked a full circle, like corners were cut or left out on purpose. Once I read the others maybe it will connect better. I just hope there will be a difference in the character development. I feel there’s no true development with the female characters in general so Gal, Hellie, and Zara all seem to be the same, but maybe the other novels will read different. The sexual scene were good and nicely written, but the actual story could have been a bit more in depth to give it more substance.
