Historia
Are you struggling to be an effective leader? Are you tired of seeing others promoted while your voice remains unheard and your contributions go unrecognized? As a new manager or entrepreneur, embracing the role of "leader" can be a daunting task, filled with both external obstacles and internal battles. There must be some way to harmonize these tensions—to lead with the grit of a general, but the grace of a guru.

The most useful and insightful management book
Revisado: 01-18-24
I really enjoyed this book and even bought a physical copy to reference. I’ve purchased copies for my friends as well. My husband even says he wants a copy for himself. I highly recommend this book to anyone in management, leadership or any entrepreneur. The narrator was a bit robotic. For a few moments I thought it could be Siri or AI reading the book, but it was easy to listen to and digest.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 07-08-23
I didn’t really learn more about emotional intelligence here. I think I was looking for Daniel Goleman (PhD) not Brandon. This book is basically just a long explanation of what emotional intelligence is and what it might look like for those who have low EI. But no practical tips on how to improve EI or handling others who have low EI other than end the relationship.

Historia
Boisterous, ribald, and ultimately shattering, Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest has left an indelible mark on the literature of our time. Turning conventional notions of sanity and insanity on their heads, the novel tells the unforgettable story of a mental ward and its inhabitants, especially tyrannical Big Nurse Ratched and Randle Patrick McMurphy, the brawling, fun-loving new inmate who resolves to oppose her.

Historia
During his years in a neural-health facility, Pat Peoples has formulated a theory about silver linings. He believes that his life is a movie produced by God, that his mission is to become physically fit and emotionally supportive, and that if he succeeds, his happy ending will be the return of his estranged wife, Nikki. When Pat goes to live with his parents, everything seems changed: no one will talk to him about Nikki, and his new therapist seems to be recommending adultery as a form of therapy.

I love this book
Revisado: 03-05-15
I really loved this book. I watched the movie first, which I think helped visualize things in the book which sometimes it's usually the opposite when watching a movie before the book. I recommend this audiobook. The reader was great.

Historia
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

Historia
In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Ugh
Revisado: 01-25-15
Maybe I should have read this before the hunger games. I was just disappointed. I felt there wasn't enough detail for things, and I couldn't really relate to the main character, her thoughts and actions. I'm not sure I'll continue the series. I'm just sad the hunger games are over and this didn't really satiate my appetite.
