Historia
Does Caleb Dimmick really work at his father’s motorcycle dealership, or does he simply ride the payroll, thereby giving his dad a nice tax break? Roy Ballard, a legal videographer specializing in insurance fraud, is hired to find out. After just a few days, Roy is convinced everything is legit - until a dealership employee is gunned down in his own backyard, possibly by an assassin on an orange sport bike.

A Masterpiece of a Mystery.
Revisado: 06-14-20
Have you ever read the opening of a book and it so captured your imagination and interest that you just couldn’t put it down? Shake and Bake is one of those books. I haven’t been captured by such an opening since my brother in law challenged me to read the prologue to Clive Cussler’s novel, ‘Raise the Titanic.’
Plot twists, hill country characters, and a splash of comedy make this Ben Rehder a must read.

Historia
Meet Roy Ballard, freelance videographer with a knack for catching insurance cheats. He's working a routine case, complete with hours of tedious surveillance, when he sees something that shakes him to the core. There, with the subject, is a little blond girl wearing a pink top and denim shorts - the same outfit worn by Tracy Turner, a six-year-old abducted the day before. When the police are skeptical of Ballard's report - and with his history, who can blame them? - it's the beginning of the most important case of his life.

The First Of The Roy Ballard Novels.
Revisado: 06-03-20
This is the first in the Roy Ballard mystery series. Don’t miss this series. Great plotting repeat with twists and surprises. This series is set in Central Texas with all the beauty and characters who inhabit this area. Yes, I live in Central Texas near the state Capitol of Austin. So, I know Ben Rehder (a native to the area) nails it. This book is a fun read and well narrated. It comes highly recommended.

Historia
Welcome to Ben Rehder's Blanco County, Texas, where the right to bear arms is about to go very, very wrong. In Gun Shy, the National Weapons Alliance rally in support of every American's right to bear arms is meant to garner huge publicity. And the host of the event is none other than the NWA's newest spokesman, handsome country superstar Mitch Campbell. What nobody suspects is that the Stetson-wearing, gun-toting, bull-riding Campbell is a fraud.

Who Wouldn’t Like John Marlin?
Revisado: 06-03-20
Another trip to Blanco County, Texas. It’s an actual location for the setting of the mystery series that features Game Warden John Marlin who helps the Sheriff’s office on many if its cases. There are many strings with plot twists that are skillfully woven together. The title of the novel belies what actually occurs. Well written and nicely narrated.

Central Texas Mystery Masterpiece.
Revisado: 06-03-20
Ben Rehder was born and raised in Central Texas. His love of the country and the (sometimes) colorful people is in full bloom in his book. I purchased a map of the area just to be better able to follow the action as chases and locations are often on actual roads and places. He blends in his mystery plot and twist beautifully. His mystery is fun to read and fun to listen to; one just can’t go wrong.

Historia
An unidentified wild creature is on the loose in Blanco County, and, over the protests of game warden John Marlin, the locals have convinced themselves they're dealing with a mythical vampirish beast called a chupacabra. It doesn't help Marlin's cause when a dead body turns up with a fang-like wound in its neck.
