Will Her Rogue Return ? . . .
Revisado: 12-10-24
Nicolas Winters is rushing to his sister’s aid when he has a bad fall from his horse as a storm rages around him. He is unconscious when Lady Emily Fairchild’s footmen discover him. They take him to Greystone Manor where Lady Emily takes care of him during the two weeks he is healing. They both become attracted to each other. But when Nicolas remembers that his sister had needed him urgently, he took off to go to her without explaining or letting Lady Emily know of his feelings for her. Will he return to her by Christmas and explain? Would she be willing to forgive his abandonment and allow their love to bring them together for a HEA? The narrator for the audiobook version, Charlie Albers, brings the “reading” experience alive for the listener with her delightful British accent. She does a good job with the multiple voices to personalize the story and make it easier for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Who Murdered Marcia's Husband ? . . .
Revisado: 11-30-24
Sadie Sexton and Clementine Parker are taking Marcia Murphy to the bus station so she can get away from her abusive husband, Daniel. She has only a small carry bag with her. But leaving her dog behind was what upset her the most. Priceless Prince Hairless Pawter of Hillbilly Hollow (“Hairy”) is her Chinese Crested show dog. So when they had to take her cell phone from her, Marcia was horrified since the Ring app is the only thing she has to monitor her dog, even though it would lead her husband right to her new location. She was not pleased to get a burner phone in return as she got on the bus. Sadie and Clem promised to check on her dog for her. But all does not go well when the two of them arrive at Marcia’s former home and no one answers the doorbell. They walk around back and find Marcia’s husband Daniel dead next to the back door with a bloody shovel next to his head! Sheriff Reed Hawkins was not going to be happy about this. Meanwhile, they gave the dogs water and started the process to find foster families to take them in for now. With a bunch of puppies and the mother dog, it was not easy to place so many.
When the missing Marcia becomes the prime suspect, Sadie and Clem have to get her to return to town or they too will be charged as accessories for helping her escape. No one can seem to find her. District Attorney Griswold with political aspirations is on the case and eager to get media attention. He demands that Sadie and Clem come to the station for a formal interrogation despite their sworn statements from the day before. Deana Marie decides to enter Prince Hairy in the Poochella Dog Show at Sunrise Glen. Are there any clues to be found among the odd assortment of competitors? And at the funeral home, David Murphy, Daniel’s brother, commented that he wished Prince Hairy was with them to say goodbye to Daniel. Deana Marie pointed to the dog, but when David held out his arms to welcome him, Prince Hairy took a step backward and growled at him! He continued sporadic growling and wouldn’t seem to calm down. Was it just stress? Will they be able to find the murderer and clear this case up? And will they find Marcia who still hasn’t been located? For those who prefer the audiobook version, the narrator, Tiffany Morgan, will bring the “reading” experience alive for the listener. She does a great job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to form an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Excellent Start . . .
Revisado: 11-09-24
Asher Heath is a Fae prince firefighter in Everwood Falls whose skill is the manipulation of fire. The ability to control fire was rare, especially with a Mundane (human) father. His wolfhound, Daisy, probably the star of the story or at least the favorite character who will steal your heart, was a loyal and protective friend. And Gwyn Drake is a dragon shifter whose abusive ex injured her wing so she could not fly. Asher and Gwyn will slowly fall for each other, but in the meantime, they will join forces to find the arsonist setting the fires in their supernatural community of witches, werewolves and vampires. The arsonist is trying to implicate Asher, and they need to figure out why as he seems to be escalating. Will they be able to find and defeat him? Or will the demon magic he is using be too powerful even for them? The narrator for the audiobook version, Monica Franklin, brings the “reading” experience alive for the listener. She does a good job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Awesome Amazing Story !! . . .
Revisado: 10-11-24
Angela Garcia has raised her family and is finally ready now to attend Eugene University to pursue her dream. She meets a handsome man at the campus coffee shop and they chat while waiting for their coffee order. The younger students were all giggling from the time she walked in. Finally one girl, Renata, told her she had something brown smeared all over the back of her pants. She must have been sitting on a piece of her chocolate muffin in the car! She was embarrassed but the handsome man pulled off his sweater and told her to tie it around her for the rest of the day and she would be fine. He had a t-shirt under the sweater, so he was okay in that and his jeans as he rushed off to class. Renata was going to the same place as Angela and assured her they would not be late as they walked together. Both taking the same class, they took their seats as her handsome hero from the coffee shop, Sean Deschamps, introduced himself as their professor in her American Folklore class. Sean hadn’t seen her yet in the back of the room, but his wolf was acting crazy this morning. And when he finally spotted her, he knew this would be a difficult semester as he stared at his mate!
Angela returned Sean’s sweater at his office and, as they touched, they felt a spark between them. He asked if she would come on the Bigfoot search that weekend for extra credit. On another search without the entire class to scare the creature off, Angela ended up getting shot in the stomach. Renata was also in the woods, said she was looking for her phone and heard the shot. With no cell signal, they could not get an ambulance in time. So Renata, a wolf shifter, looked at Sean and told him there was only one way they could save her life. He was Angela’s mate, so he offered to bite her and hope she could shift if it was not too late. A shadow fell on them and a sasquatch stood looking down at Angela. The creature touched her shoulder next to the bite and she shifted! But his student Callum was also in the woods and had just used his phone to video what had happened! Would their secret be made public now? And would she accept her mate after he explained all of this to her?

Finding the Truth . . .
Revisado: 08-16-24
Sadie Sexton left her career in New York to return home to Hoochville, TN, when her grandmother died and left her a yarn shop which she and her sister, Charmayne, were required to run jointly for a year. Reunited with Clementine Parker, her Grandma Mae’s best friend, made up for having to deal with her grouchy older sister. But returning from bowling night with her friends, Sadie entered the back door of the semi-dark yarn shop to retrieve a crochet project she had been working on earlier -- and tripped over a woman’s body in the dark! The stranger had been stabbed in the eye with a knitting needle and did not survive.
Fortunately Sadie’s high school ex-boyfriend Reed Hawkins, who is now the Sheriff, had given her his business card and home number. She called him and he raced to the scene of the crime. While he was questioning Sadie, her sister Charmayne pushed her way in and exclaimed, “Clementine finally had enough and killed her!” -- which of course pointed a finger at Clem, the woman Sadie loves like a second grandmother, who becomes the primary murder suspect! Will Sadie and her friends insist on helping to prove Clem’s innocence? Will Reed try to stop her? Or will they track down Ruby Potts’ real murderer? You won’t want to miss this adventure penned by an awesome duo of authors! For those who prefer the audiobook version, the narrator, Tiffany Morgan, will bring the “reading” experience alive for the listener. She does a great job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. Shannon and Drew's Story . . .
Revisado: 03-30-24
Shannon Wood is a witch and a single mom with two teenage children, Liam and Kinsley. After her husband is killed in a drunken fight, she moves to Carlton to live with her Aunt Lenora Millhouse who can help Liam with his magic. Shannon meets the head chef at The Warehouse, a brewery where she is interviewing for a waitress job. Drew Proulx is a bear shifter and shares custody of his daughter Emma. Shannon is drawn to Drew, but she is not certain if she may know him from her past or not. When she tries a spell to get more information about Drew, she keeps seeing her deceased ex, Jason. So she goes to the police station to get a copy of the report on Jason’s death. When her eyes landed on the list of suspects, she saw Drew’s name as rage came over her and the police report began to burn in her fingers. Will he confront Drew over this? Will she move away? Or will she perhaps discuss this with him and find out his side of what happened that night? Could she believe him?
The story line is intriguing and the characters will draw you into their story. But there is more to come in this one as a sudden twist in the story line will grab your attention to see what happened and how it gets resolved. Would her suppressed witchcraft skills come back to keep her safe from the danger as she confronts the past? Would the revelations that become obvious bring Shannon and Drew together? Or tear them apart? The narrator for the audiobook version is D.C. Cole who does an outstanding job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. This helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and is a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.
