excellent narration disappointing story
Revisado: 03-08-25
no crimes would ever be solved if law enforcement officers as dumb and incompetent as Nikki is . I realise I am not from the USA but surely FBI agents can't behave like she did in this story. I was really disappointed in this book after the first 2 .

Historia
Driving home during a swirling blizzard, Vera Stanhope's only thought is to get there quickly. But the snow is so heavy that she becomes disorientated and loses her way. Ploughing on, she sees a car slewed off the road ahead of her. With the driver's door open, Vera assumes the driver has sought shelter, but when she inspects the car she is shocked to find a young toddler strapped in the back seat. Afraid they will freeze, Vera takes the child and drives on, arriving at Brockburn, a run-down stately home she immediately recognises as the house her father, Hector, grew up in.

worth waiting for. Reacher never disappoints even as he is aging, he just uses his accumulated knowledge a lot more effectively

great story but
Revisado: 10-07-18
the narrator was a disappointment, she made Corinna shrewish and hard rather than the warm generous but weary soul she is . she also read it like she was in a race which meant I kept losing my place and had to go back to pick up details missed in her rush to finish.

weakest plot line
Revisado: 07-24-17
this is the only Reacher novel I struggle to listen to . The story is too convoluted even for a Reacher plot and the supporting cast is lame at best . I guess 1 out of 20 plus is acceptable but still disappointing

Historia
Sergeant Amy Callan and Lieutenant Caroline Cooke have a lot in common. Both were army high-flyers. Both were acquainted with Jack Reacher. Both were forced to resign from the service. Now they're both dead. Found in their own homes, naked, in a bath full of paint. Apparent victims of an army man. A loner, a smart guy with a score to settle, a ruthless vigilante. A man just like Jack Reacher.

I really struggled to listen to this book because the narrator made all the women sound like brainless idiots including a female lawyer and FBI agent .
He also made Teacher sound like a half wit mist of the time

But.... I was glad to see the narrator had been changed until I heard this one mangle the male characters voices . Why can't this series be read by someone who can do justice to all the character voices , and remember to change from one character to the next consistently .

Great story awful narration
Revisado: 10-06-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I woul recommend this story despite the awful narration
What didn’t you like about George Guidall’s performance?
The narrator has an emotionless dis interested style of narrating , it is really distracting from the story
Any additional comments?
It's a great story as always ,well written by Faye Kellerman it is such a shame Australian listeners can not listen to the whole series
