I read this book because it was recommended to me by my cousin. I was having some trouble with my son who was not regulating his emotions well. She thought that I would be able to understand the heart of a man better by reading this book. Not only do I understand better, but I have learned some amazing truths along the way. I learned some truths not only about the heart of man, but also about the heart of God through his creations of man and woman. Yes, this book mostly focuses on man, but I am looking forward to listening to "Captivating" next, which was written by John Eldredge and his wife.

I started listening to this book, and halfway through, I bought a physical copy. I needed to underline, take notes, and
have it for reference. It has so much good information about our authority in Christ! My husband and I are even going to experience the healing ministry started by Charles Kraft. Its called Hearts Set Free if anyone is interested.

Mel Robbins always has a way of keeping it real. I loved the one on one coaching sessions, when I hear someone's real story it always seems to help even if I don't have much in common with them. If you're looking to read more about trauma, and how it affects the body, I highly recommend The Body Keeps the Score.
