Historia
The Soviet-built MiG-15 swept-wing fighter startled the world when it was introduced into combat during the Korean War in the early 1950s. The West had no idea that Russia could produce such a capable fighter. Some 35 years later, former Marine aviator Paul Entrekin burst onto the North American Air Show circuit with the first civilian-owned MiG-15. His story tells of the myriad of challenges in obtaining, test-flying, licensing this first-of-its-kind air show aircraft. It's a walk down memory lane that includes some of the most well-known names in aviation.

Simply Amazing
Revisado: 01-03-23
Some people simply amaze me and the author of this book, Paul Entrekin, is one of them. Paul recounts his journey as a Mig pilot, the struggles, the friendships, the euphoric moments and the tragic losses that he experienced along the way. Simply put, it is a miracle that he survived.
If you are an aviation history enthusiast you will love the level of detail that he provides about the aircrafts that he flew and at the same time he is careful to keep it simple for us non-aviation readers.
From world record flights to funny antics with unsuspecting news reporters, there truly is something here for everyone.
Finally, I must say that if you keep count of the friends he lost along the way to the very profession that he so deeply loved, it’s sobering to try to grasp the losses experienced on this journey. Yet when faced with his own likely demise, in a couple gut wrenching close calls, he recalls feeling only peace and calm through the near death experiences.
It’s simply an amazing recount of an extraordinary life.
