Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Truth or Lies
Revisado: 02-04-23
It is hard to believe that Harry was always the good guy in this human saga. If you believe everything he has written he should be labeled Hero. I would guess some is true, but not all. This family, like all families, has drama, disagreements, excess baggage. His language and constant referencing to his body parts is ridiculous. I listened to this book to hear what he considers his side of the story. It didn’t sway me one way or the other. I do believe royalty is a waste of people’s tax dollars. Their return for the money spent on royalty is drama that doesn’t really matter to anyone. I will go back to books about TR, Lincoln, Jefferson, and others that helped shape this country.

This book certainly gave me a deeper perspective on the ladies of the Bible. It also gave me a deeper understanding of God and his forgiveness for even the most heinous of sins, and how he gives us so many opportunities to step away from sin.
The lives of Bathsheba, and Mary Magdalene were so intense. It was very hard to listen to these chapters. I am glad I did. Then the chapter on Phoebe was so inspirational. She was some special lady. I highly recommend this book for both women and men.

Historia
Charming, insightful and immensely entertaining in its unique presentation of one of America's legendary figures, Mount Vernon Love Story, by famed suspense writer Mary Higgins Clark, shows the reader the man behind the legend, a man of flesh, blood and passion, and in the author's skilled hands, the story and the man come fully and dramatically alive.
Mary Higgins Clark's interest in George Washington was first sparked by a radio series she was writing in the 1960s, called "Portrait of a Patriot."

Beautiful
Revisado: 03-09-20
I listened to this book right after visiting Mount Vernon. I believe this is probably as correct a story as far as the love between Martha and George Washington as we could possibly get, considering she burned all of her letters that she and George had written to each other except to that they found. It was a beautiful book and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I am a history nerd and know a great deal about history.

This is a wonderful book. I love the intrigue, all of the characters, including the bad. Willa is a very interesting character. Young or old, if you love the Blue Ridge and Smokey Mountains, you will love this book. I can imagine the folklore handed down through the generations of mountain people. I have read all of Robert Beatty’s books and love them. I am a grandmother of four. Never too old to enjoy a beautifully written book.
