Amazing Book, Great Read, but... [SPOILER ALERT]
Revisado: 03-27-19
For team and culture building, this is a MUST HAVE text.
Absolutely loved this book for the stories upon stories used to teach the importance of culture. The content moves right along and is easy to digest. And there are so many amazing "ahaha", 'wow", and "that is interesting" moments. I truly loved every minute of this book, except for the fact that it ended too fast!
It ended, with nothing more than supporting evidence of how culture matters and is built by:
1- Belonging Cues
2- "Am I safe?" (Are we safe?)
3- "Do we have a future?"
So I get that belonging cues will help foster a positive culture, but what next? In a business sense, what are the real world implications of balancing security with a position and termination because the future with your current attitude looks bleak?
Get it. Learn about Belonging Cues. Pass it along. And understand to diagnosis and build company culture you will need a few other textbooks.

It has the ability to be Leadership Changing.
Revisado: 03-27-19
This book makes it easy to identify with the main character in the story and see how leaders should be better. It makes obvious cases that show how wrong so many people are when dealing with others. Our home, our business, and our communities could be so much better if everyone would read and apply what is taught in this book...
And there it is, the outward looking, face of self deception. If you are reading this book to change others it will not have a happy ending. If you read this book ready to discover that you are hiding in a box, deceived and blaming others for you lack of true leadership, then this book will change your life.
Life changing for the Leader you have within.

Historia
Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google are the four most influential companies on the planet. Just about everyone thinks they know how they got there. Just about everyone is wrong. For all that's been written about the Four over the last two decades, no one has captured their power and staggering success as insightfully as Scott Galloway. Instead of buying the myths these companies broadcast, Galloway asks fundamental questions.

Unabashed and Unique View, Worth a Listen.
Revisado: 03-27-19
Scott lays down his opinions and pulls no punches. He thrives on being the anti-christ to the leaders he parallel's with the Messiah with sacrilegious ease. He is very entertaining. He weaves a great story. I do recommend the listen (so long as a blithe of F-bombs is not offensive).
What he does have going for him is history and understanding of the internet and technology. And I fully appreciate his insight being part of the internet marketing world. In fact, I share many opinions, skepticisms, and hesitations that he leans into. There is no doubt in my mind that the world is not weary enough of the dominating players that are shaping the future of humanity. Perhaps I should give it higher points to push the awareness forward. Alas, I do not share in many of his extremes and believe some of what he preaches to be flagrant exaggerations.
Read it. Think about it. Be come aware.

Historia
On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

Life Changing.
Revisado: 09-17-18
This book has been life changing. It has helped me feel and experience life more deeply. It helped me actuate the power of opening up and letting myself be really seen. I have found that self worth isn’t derived from what I have or have not accomplished. I am worthy of love and belonging.
Thank you Brene Brown for starting the conversation.
