Historia
Stranded on Prehistoric Earth since the end of the first series, Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect are once again trying to hitch their way off the planet. Zaphod finds his visit to the offices of the Guide rudely interrupted by Frogstar fighters, who further threaten to feed him to the Total Perspective Vortex. Eventually reunited, the three fetch up on the planet Brontitall and discover the indigenous species in something of a flap. Arthur meets Lintilla (several of her), Marvin gets to be a hero once again, and there is a meeting with the Man in the Shack who apparently runs the Universe....

One of the Greatest Listens

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?
I have listened to probably every variation of The Guide, and the Radio Plays rank up there amongst some of the best performances. Douglas Adams had admitted in the past that he never wrote any of the Versions of The Guide the same. So while the storyline stays primarily the same, there is always some never heard/read bits in every version of The Guide, this radio play not being any exception to the rule.

Historia
Ever since the Big Uneasy unleashed vampires, werewolves, and other undead denizens on the world, it’s been hell being a detective — especially for zombie P.I. Dan Chambeaux. Taking on the creepiest of cases in the Unnatural Quarter with a human lawyer for a partner and a ghost for a girlfriend, Chambeaux redefines “dead on arrival". But just because he was murdered doesn’t mean he’d leave his clients in the lurch. Besides, zombies are so good at lurching. Now he’s back from the dead and back in business.

Antoher Great Title
Revisado: 12-08-13
I feel in love with Phil Gigante during my listening of The Stainless Steel Rat series and was desperately waiting for another good series to come around that would combine a good book with a good narrator.
Imagine my pleasure when I found Kevin Anderson's Dan Shamble series.
I look forward to many more books to come in the series. Already anxiously awaiting the next books release.

Historia
David Sedaris's beloved holiday collection is new again with six more pieces, including a never before published story. Along with such favorites as the diaries of a Macy's elf and the annals of two very competitive families, are Sedaris's tales of tardy trick-or-treaters ("Us and Them"); the difficulties of explaining the Easter Bunny to the French ("Jesus Shaves"); and what to do when you've been locked out in a snowstorm ("Let It Snow").

I can never get enough David Sedaris
Revisado: 10-24-12
This books is no exception to the level of popularity that the greatness of all other books David Sedaris has allowed him.
While this one would probably be properly appreciated during the holiday season, (Late October through December) I have no repercussions in giving this book all the stars allowed.
I purposely read and cherish Sedaris' books when they are read by the author himself (as this one is).
This is one of the type of books that I could easily see myself listening to again and being equally satisfied by it.
