Historia
An exploration of marine life and the ocean environment, this audiobook makes marine biology and oceanography accessible and enjoyable. Oceanology offers up riches from every corner of the ocean, from coral reefs and mangrove swamps to icy fjords and deep-ocean trenches, and from great whales to the microscopic beauty of plankton. Along the way, it explains how the ocean itself works, including tides, currents, hurricanes, tsunamis, and the global processes of oceanography and climate.

Go to YouTube and find an oceanic documentary narrated by David Attenborough. Cover the screen so you can't actually see it and you will still have a better experience than listening to this production. Amy Noble is fine but her script reads like a science books for 9 year olds. I'm not sure what I was thinking getting this one.

This novel grips your heart and won't let go. It's a roller coaster ride you won't want to ever get off. Dion Graham is a rock star and deserves sn award for this performance. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

Historia
For time out of mind, bloodthirsty demons have stalked the night, culling the human race to scattered remnants dependent on half-forgotten magics to protect them. Then two heroes arose - men as close as brothers, yet divided by bitter betrayal. Arlen Bales became known as the Warded Man, tattooed head to toe with powerful magic symbols that enable him to fight demons in hand-to-hand combat-and emerge victorious.

Great End
Revisado: 11-13-17
This is not a story about the end, but about the journey. Peter V Brett is a master a dialogue and character development and you see that development in all the characters in these books--and there is a world full of characters. My first thoughts were that this a a great trilogy spread out into five books. I can't stop thinking that a trilogy would have been better, but the author's style is to explore all aspects of a character and a society through it's people. As long as you can relax into five books you will love the series.
Pete Bradbury is of course a terrific narrator and will bring all these characters to life. He is one of the best there is at his craft and you will appreciate his style and take on the story. Out of the five books in this series, my favorites are book 2 - The Desert Spear, and book 5, The Core. There are a lot of moving parts to this book, but I enjoyed it very much.

Historia
Four decades after it first shook the nation, then the world, William Peter Blatty's thrilling masterwork of faith and demonic possession returns in an even more powerful form. Raw and profane, shocking and blood-chilling, it remains a modern parable of good and evil and perhaps the most terrifying novel ever written.

Blatty's Narration is BRILLIANT!
Revisado: 10-10-17
It's difficult to review this book because it is as wonderful as it is awful. I will start by saying that Blatty published this in 1971 and at the time there was, without a doubt, nothing as terrifying. In retrospect, there is none to equal it since. If you have seen the film then I can assure you that what you seen came from the book--all of it. Even more craziness and routine blasphemy are in the book than was included in the film. William Peter Blatty won awards for this book, as well as the script for the film, and it is well deserved. I recommend this book highly, but only to those who know what they are getting into. If you are religiously sensitive then, obviously, stay away. This book is a horror story, but also one of redemption. It contains mysteries, some solved, others perpetual. This book has some endearing characters that would be more so if not back dropped with repugnant evil. I also recommend the 40th Anniversary audiobook. It is read by the author, and Blatty is beyond fantastic with his reading. He knows how to render the characters for maximum effect.

Historia
Lucian has resolved to cast aside his ties to humanity, end his exile, and make his way back to his beloved celestial city. But what he finds when he arrives there is not what he expected: Mysterious beings all in black roam the cosmic pathways, most of the gods have somehow vanished, and those who remain look upon him with unadulterated suspicion and hate. His mission is this: he must clear his own name and find the true culprit, even as his brother and sister gods do everything in their power to capture and destroy him.

Fun!
Revisado: 09-27-17
Lots if fun in this book. A story of personal growth, shimmering portals to other planes of existence, and a mystery to be solved. Mortals, gods, demons, and ray guns. What is there not to like? The recording does have a few missed edits, but if noticed, but just know it moves on quickly without any real issue.

Fuller does it again!
Revisado: 07-31-17
Fuller does it again with another wonderful book. I read around 80+ books a year, so I see a lot of the same story lines. What I like about Brian K. Fuller is that I may have a general sense of where we are going, the path he takes is always a surprise. From the very beginning of this story I was hooked. Davon is a very complex character and Fuller does a brilliant job telling his story. This is a universe I would like to see explored some more. Great stuff! If you have enjoyed his other works as I have, then this book is certainly for you. If you are new to Fuller then you are in for some great reading (check out the Trysmoon Saga too). Simon Vane narrates the audio version (I read the book then also listened to the audio version when it came out), making it equally as superb.

Historia
Rosemary Harper doesn't expect much when she joins the crew of the aging Wayfarer. While the patched-up ship has seen better days, it offers her a bed, a chance to explore the far-off corners of the galaxy, and, most importantly, some distance from her past. An introspective young woman, she's never met anyone remotely like the ship's diverse crew, including Sissix, the exotic reptilian pilot; chatty engineers Kizzy and Jenks, who keep the ship running; and Ashby, their noble captain.

Revisado: 04-27-17
The book started a little slow, and through half the book I was giving it a 3-star rating. By the end, however, Ifelt it needed to be four stars. I'm looking forward to the next installment. I feel the author has a good handle on the universe and the characters, and should be able to produce another solid story.

More fun with the Sentinals
Revisado: 02-17-17
Plexico continues his superhero series with the second instalment, A Distant Star. I am happy to report that the the wonderful balance he strikes between likeable characters saving the universe, and his tongue-in-cheek writing style that doesn't take itself too seriously yet never fails to entertain, was handsomely met. This story picks up where the last one left off, continuing marvelously with each character's development, as well as introducing us to new ones. If you like superhero stories, or like a fun filled story that is more light hearted, this series is highly recommended. The narration nicely done. There has been some previous reviews with the first installment from people who didn't like Pete Milan. I think he is the perfect narrator for this story. He gets the story and delivers it the way it is meant.

Loads of fun and full of funny.
Revisado: 02-11-17
This book had me smiling at every turn of the page and laughing out loud at times. Plexico has created a world of superheros and villians that remind me a lot of the of Adam West Batman series. It doesn't take itself seriously. It exists to make you smile and have fun with.
He includes a score of familiar tropes that he pokes fun at, but not to be critical. He highlights all the things that makes us fall in love with comic characters and stories and weaves them in a comical but exciting way. If you like comic books, comic movies, or just like to read a lighthearted tale that keeps you wanting more, then this story is for you.
