I tried to listen to this book all the way through because of the great reviews. I couldn't make it. It just didn't seem well put together. A new character defeating Legendary class mobs from the start doesn't make sense. The dialogue would just get lost and seem jumbled at times. I usually like the narrator but even he seemed off his game with this one. I will admit that it could just be me. I hope the author continues to write and I will give other books a try. I'm always willing to give a book a listen. I'm sorry this book didn't work for me. I just kept thinking "Huh" or "really, that doesn't even make sense". I can only do that so many times. Good luck to the author and narrator on future books. I do wish you the best.

There is so much potential in this story but Roxxy's immaturity just ruins it for me. She would have rather commit mass murder and kill everyone than have a battle be a draw and have peace. She gets mad and hateful toward her best friend who she claims to love just because he disagrees with her and isn't a lapdog. I had issues with her in the first book and but she just keeps getting worse. It really takes away from the story. I really enjoy other books by the authors but I think something was off when writing these books. I know other won't agree but that why it is an opinion. I just wanted to share my thoughts.

Very slow to start. The build up to the main story took over half the book. That was exhausting but once into story it was excellent.

Main characters are way to overpowered. A rich boy whose daddy owns and runs the game gets massive overpowering for himself and friends. He hates PK’s even though they are a legitimate part of game and blames them for his mom’s death even though they had nothing to do with it. I love all the side characters but constantly wish MC would die.

I wasn't sure about this book at first. The description seemed generic but I decided to give it a shot. I'm amazed. It takes you on a whirlwind of emotions. I can't wait for the next in the series.

I love this series. Stays true to the genre in every way. Keeps you constantly entertained. Love the fact that is written more for adults that teens. Makes it seem more realistic if possible. I've read all the books out so far but still can't wait to listen to them as well.
