Jumbled up ending that’s not really an ending

The narrator does a good job and the story is funny and original, and the buildup to the ending was exciting but then the story just ended without any answers or wrap up. I was disappointed but assumed that meant there would be a sequel, but it’s listed in the “Singles” section on the author’s website, meaning it’s a standalone novel. So now I’m just confused and a little annoyed. I mean one of his series has 29 freaking books but he couldn’t find the time to give us a real ending for this story?! I don’t think I’ll read any of his other books.

I laughed and I cried

The Ivy House crew brings their crazy antics to a new territory and shows everyone how badass they are. It’s awesome! The ending seems to signal a turning point in the storyline so I can’t wait for the next book to see where it goes!

Another hilarious book I can listen to over and over!

I love every one of ACK’s books, and they all have such great narrators! He had me hooked with the first CUP book, and I haven’t been disappointed. This story had a nice ending but there’s still room to develop some story lines, so I hope he isn’t done with Jim the Dragon yet!

Lighthearted and funny

The narrator does a great job doing all of the characters, he really brings out their personalities and quirks. This is a super cute and funny book, I’ve listened to it several times now. There are a couple more books in the series though, I wish there were audiobooks for those too! I’ve read them and imagined this narrator’s voice for the characters but it just wasn’t the same LOL.

Disappointing! Paid for a book and got a novella.

The story felt rushed and then ended abruptly. It was nice to hear things from Annette’s POV, but it wasn’t as good as the first 3 books and I'm slightly offended for her. Why does Defiance get a real book and Annette gets this half-assed attempt?! There just wasn't any meat to the story. I agree with the review that said it should be book 3.5.

Agnes is my hero!

Agnes reminds me a lot of myself, but she is way more funny! She has snarky and sarcastic comments for everything and everyone she deals with. I saw a review that said the story dragged on, but they obviously just don’t appreciate the humor in everyday life. There are no high speed chases or life or death situations, it’s just a woman dealing with a crazy life, like the rest of us ;-)

Amazing (Amy) McFadden was perfect! I’ll be listening to this whenever I need a quick mood lift.

I'm a big fan of the Artemis Fowl series so I was surprised at all of the swearing in this story but it fits with the characters and isn't overdone. The dialogue is so funny, it's one of those books where you keep hearing new jokes every time you listen to it.

I loved it, have already listened to it twice, and I highly recommend it.

The characters and dialogue are so funny, and the narration is perfect! The first book was so good I listened to it at least 5 times, and I’ve been waiting impatiently for this one. I’ll have to listen to this a few more times while I wait for the next one. Please hurry Ms Breene!
