This story is a page turner. I was hooked from beginning to end. The abuse against girls and women on many levels is universal.

Keeping Your Head Up for All the Right Reasons
Revisado: 01-08-17
Would you consider the audio edition of Hidden Figures to be better than the print version?
At times. I can continue listen while I am driving.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Hidden Figures?
Memorable moment- understanding that no matter what significant achievement was made by the Black female calculators, they were still perceived as insignificant by white counterparts. In spite of the sub standard treatment they endured, they persevered. and kept doing the jobs they were hired to do with, no parade.
Which character – as performed by Robin Miles – was your favorite?
Mary- she was always steadfast.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Phenomenal Black Women Who Put America In the Lead in the Space Race

Historia
Her name was Henrietta Lacks, but scientists know her as HeLa. She was a poor Southern tobacco farmer who worked the same land as her slave ancestors, yet her cells - taken without her knowledge - became one of the most important tools in medicine: The first “immortal” human cells grown in culture, which are still alive today, though she has been dead for more than 60 years. HeLa cells were vital for developing the polio vaccine; uncovered secrets of cancer, viruses, and the atom bomb’s effects.
