Sweet romance, but disappointing subplot
Revisado: 10-25-24
The main romance was sweet, and I enjoyed it. I just really disliked the way the main character just kept being a doormat to her family and ex fiance. None of them had real consequences for their awful actions, Lane just let them get away with it? Come on. It really bugged me, enough that I probably won't listen to another of the author's books.

Historia
An uneasy peace between the dwarves of Mithral Hall and the orcs of the newly established Kingdom of Many-Arrows can't last long. The orc tribes united under Obould begin to fight each other, and Bruenor is determined to finish the war that nearly killed him and almost destroyed everything he's worked to build. But it will take more than swords and axes to bring a lasting peace to the Spine of the World.

Absolute garbage narration of an overall good book
Revisado: 04-21-23
It takes an incredibly lazy narrator to not bother to listen to enough previous books to be familiar with pronunciations and such. The narration was simply awful. It distracted from an otherwise pretty good story. This wasn't the best of the series, but it was still a really fun ride. But I was distracted nearly the entire time by the complete butchering of the text by the narrator. This is the first time that I'm not eagerly looking forward to listening to the next one in the series...

Meh
Revisado: 01-02-23
I preferred the narrator of the previous books. This story was a bit bland compared to previous books as well.
